  1. no, flat as a pancake. Just arrived this morning and didn't get around to taking pics. Does this qualify as mechanical error, or am I gonna have to eat this one? And upon closer inspection, there is a piece go plastic/glass in the sleeve between the glass The piece of plastic shard would qualify for a mechanical error. There must be a reason this book was placed in a magazine holder. Could you post a few pics of the whole book and take some measurements? Also, please PM me the submission number.
  2. Hello I recommend you start filling out a submission form. Then, you could check to see if the cards you wish to submit are there. We do not receive a copy when you do this so, you are not obligated to send in cards. Mike
  3. Hello We have a selling forum. Here is a link to the copper/modern section. Be sure to read and follow all of the usage guidelines. That includes the one where books listed here can't be listed elsewhere. https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/64-copper-modern-age-only/
  4. Hello We have recently made improvements regarding return shipping. Here is the article. Mike https://www.cgccards.com/news/article/10242/fee-shipping-updates/
  5. You could do that. If you would prefer, you can send me a PM with your customer id number and a submission or invoice number if you still have one handy, and I will find out for you.
  6. Hello We will reholder the card. The grade should not change unless it was damaged. You would select the reholder option to submit it. Mike
  7. I don't see why not. I edited the title and pinned this thread. Be sure to follow these guidelines: A sale thread must contain books that are CGC-certified or raw only, or items directly related to comics. Any book that reprints material prior to 1980 is allowed in GSB. List your books only once, and in the appropriate sub-forum. Incorrectly placed threads or books posted in multiple places will be moved. Repeat offenders will have their threads pulled completely. Do not post copper or modern books in Golden/Silver/Bronze Age Only, and do not post golden, silver or bronze books in Copper / Modern Age Only. Opinions vary about when the bronze age ends and the copper age begins, so the moderation team considers 1980–1984 an overlap period; books from the start of 1980 through the end of 1984 are considered appropriate for either the G/S/B sub-forum or the C/M sub-forum. Books from before that period should be posted in G/S/B, and books from after that period should be posted in C/M. Books from any age are allowed in Mixed Age Threads and Misc. A sale thread must be an exclusive Boards-only offer. If the book is offered for sale through another venue such as a personal site, dealer site, eBay, etc., then it should not be offered here. If a book is offered elsewhere, it should be offered in the Sales Advertising board. A sale thread must list specific books with purchase prices. It is acceptable to bulk price, and/or note that package discounts may be available, but you must list a starting price that you will sell the item for. Either a scan or an estimated grade must be listed with each book offered for sale. Estimated shipping costs, times, and methods must be listed. Forms of payments must be listed. PayPal "goods and services" is an acceptable payment method, but Personal PayPal, aka "friends and family," is not allowed. It is also against the rules to ask for Personal PayPal via private message. Your post cannot violate the terms of service for your payment methods. (NOTE: Specifically, no surcharges for accepting PayPal, or discounts for other methods) A return policy must be stated with any time limits indicated. It is acceptable to say "no time limit" or "no returns," or have time limits that vary by reason for a return, such as "30 day return for any reason. No time limit for returns not as described.” But time limits must be stated. If posting a trading thread you must list a dollar value price for the book that you will accept in trade value, and you must put "TRADE ONLY" in the title of your thread if you will not accept money. Threads are allowed to be bumped three times total and only one full day after falling off of the front page. This does not include "sold" notices, or truly useful informational updates. A post that inappropriately bumps a sale thread and is then deleted can still be seen by CGC. No spamming. Group your for sale items into one thread in each sub-forum. Attempts to take up front page real estate by creating multiple threads are not allowed. Links to outside sites for any purpose involving purchasing the offered books are not allowed. Threads selling digital codes or digital versions are not allowed. Raffles are not allowed. Mystery boxes are not allowed. You must list everything you are selling exactly as the buyer will receive it. Pre-sale announcements belong in the Announcements thread. Do not start your own thread in the sales sub-forums for your sale until you are ready to post and sell your books. Posting a single book now and the rest at a stated time is considered an announcement, and is not allowed.
  8. Here is the post with the number. On 8/5/2022 at 4:26 PM, CMatthews said: @waynemel we are looking into the possible server issue with our emails now and hope to have this resolved ASAP. In the meantime, you may contact customer service directly at 941-360-3990 and let them know that you had tried to email the request already. Here is the thread.
  9. PM me your customer id number and/or submission number.
  10. To those that have asked me questions regarding these books, I am sorry but I cannot answer any of them.
  11. I have the reaction feature for my posts turned off.
  12. We feel it is important to provide transparency on how CGC arrived at our method of certifying Clayton Crain’s Ultimate Fallout comics with the attached acetate covers. For us, this was an unprecedented item to grade. After Mr. Crain spoke with us prior to C2E2, the rules we applied to his books: The additional cover had to be created by an established artist in the industry. The comic to which the cover was attached had to contain a cover by that same artist. A copy of the comic with the attached cover had to be submitted to us for inspection prior to certifying any copies. Given the recent circumstances, we have made adjustments to the labeling originally used for the Ultimate Fallout exhibiting the acetate cover. Going forward, any copies submitted to CGC will display in the label text: "In God We Intrust" Acetate Artist Cover attached with 2 staples after manufacturing. The books will still be allowed to receive a Universal label. This will also apply to Mr. Crain’s forthcoming copies of Ghost Rider #1 and Deadpool Nerdy 30 #1 that contain an acetate cover.
  13. As far as the comic grading, I would need to deal with Matt. With everything else, the QC manager seems to be on top of things. During his first week just before our meeting. he had already started working on one of my concerns before I even brought it up.. I mentioned the scratches on the slabs during the meeting, and he had already ordered, protective coverings to place on all the metal racks that hold the slabs. I do know that at least 2 of the hired people are specialists. To be honest, I don't know about the others. I deal with their manager and he promptly replies to all of my concerns. I have even received e-mails from him on weekends. I know things have already improved. Customer service complaints are down 15% and ME returns are down as well. Thinks will continue to improve over time. Since July of last year, everything in this thread and other threads I saw that was related to QC has been sent to CGC, and I will continue to do so.
  14. Thanks. Weekly e-mails will continue to be sent in. We will work on fine tuning things to the point that every stage of the grading process is working at peak performance and efficiency. The images and text provided here by customers is valuable in making this happen.
  15. The QC manager has assured me that this has been addressed earlier in the process with Images, alerts and weekly meetings. I have had a one on one meeting with this person, and he takes his job very seriously. I have complete faith in him. Change takes time but, I feel we are on the right track.
  16. My bad for trying to provide a little positive information as to what is happening with the images customers provided.
  17. Hello all submissions have to be either mailed to CGC or hand delivered to a CGC booth at a convention. Mike
  18. I was not provided the qualifications or training standards of the QC staff.
  19. I am going to share something from the QC manager. This is regarding images and posts made in this thread and other parts of the forum. The QC team is now 8 members strong & we are more efficient at catching defects than ever before. We have a long way to go but our department is going in the right direction. I will create Quality alerts using the pictures you provided & hang at each station. We’ll also hang alerts at each heat seal station & add this to our communication meeting. Please know that each concern you raise is being sent to all departments. I am asking managers for counter measures to address each customer call out.
  20. Hi Still working on it. The solution we were hoping would work did not. So not we are working on another one, which should work. Mike
  21. The maximum value of a card for bulk submission is $250 You would have to create a different submission for higher value cards. You can send multiple submission forms to CGC in 1 box. Each submission would be shipped back to you separately. Here is a link to our services and fees. https://www.cgccards.com/submit/services-fees/cgc/

  23. I have just compiled everything from the last 2 1/2 weeks .(that's where I left off from the last e-mail to QC) All of your images and some of the comments will be sent to QC. He will make sure the CGC staff sees them as well. I am checking the forum to see what else I can find before I submit.
