  1. This is very strange. Someone sent me a PM saying they did not receive one from me for the contest. So, I sent another one. An hour later, I went back through my PM's only to discover that I did sent one, along with all of the others yesterday. When I clicked on it, it took me to the one I sent today. I did it 3 or 4 times to make sure it was some sort of error, and I was not just imagining it. So, if you don't see a PM from me, please let me know. Here is the screenshot. When I click on one of these, it sends me to the one I sent today.
  2. Hi Members can only hide posts, not topics. Yes, I can hide or move the thread out of public view. May I ask why you would like the thread hidden? There are quite a few posts, and it is a great thread.
  3. Hi I see that you have posted this already. It is in the Ask CGC section. Someone will answer your question there. Currently, customer service has been really busy. That's why there is a delay in answering your question. Mike

  5. He is currently out of town, and told me he would make these changes on Monday. I do not have them. Also, or DB specialist is very busy. I recommend compiling any info needed to make changes, and I will pass it along.
  6. I should add that I have not looked at any of the grades for the books.
  7. I have asked that our database specialist change these in our database. I will let you know when this has been done.
  8. Hi I am sorry about the unforeseen fees. Unfortunately, I cannot assist with this. I have been told to give customers the link I provided. I do recommend reaching out again, and ask if there will be any other unforeseen fees. Also, there is quite a bit of time before the convention. There may be facilitators that will attend this. I wish I had better answers for you. Mike
  9. That's how I looked for 35 years as I'm entering the doorway after a day at the office. The wife greeting me with a broom, towel and a vaccuum in hand, along with this expression.
  10. I have sent out all of the PM's. If you signed up for the contest and didn't get one, please let me know ASAP. The contest will begin at 8:00 PM Eastern time tomorrow.
  11. Hi I am sorry for the delay. I will contact customer service and ask them to assist you. Mike
  12. I am sorry but, the signup ended last night. Please look for the Summer Edition signup starting July 1st.
  13. Hi I believe a CGC SS employee can witness the signature for you. I recommend reaching out to the SS team directly to be sure. Here is their e-mail address. SignatureSeries@cgccomics.com Mike
  14. Hi I spoke with the President of CGC regarding this. Here is what he said: This book was submitted directly to grading (no CCS pressing), and the first person to remove the book from its bag was the grader that assigned the crease note in the system. I don’t believe we damaged it. I think he just overlooked the defect.
  15. Hi I ended up going to the President of CGC. This is what he said. Ideally the repro cover would be attached with the original staples—the staples would be removed, the re-inserted through the cover. But I see this copy has brittle pages, which may pose a problem with staple removal. In that case, we would use archival tape to attach it. Best thing to do is have us attach it for him. The book will have to be regraded though, but I can offer to do the attachment for no extra charge. You would submit the cover and the book (still in the holder) to CGC pressing and choose the removal service + grading. I’ll waive the removal fee once I get it.
  16. I have asked the Vice President of comic graders, and the operations manager. The reproduction cover has to be attached. I am waiting on answers as to how, and still receive a blue label. Here is my question: How should it be attached? I have read a few older threads on the forum regarding this. The consensus was, it had to be attached with tape. If this is correct, can it be done with archival tape and still avoid a purple label?
  17. Let me try to find out. I believe the cover has to be attached to the book but, I am not 100% sure.
  18. I have built a new sub forum for selling in the pulp magazine section. Pulps and other items (not comics) can be sold there, and listed in our regular forums as well. Be sure to read the guidelines before starting a for sale thread, as there are additional rules that apply, as well as our current set of rules. https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/137-pulps-plus-other-items-for-sale-section/
  19. Hi You might find this thread interesting. You do not have to use a shipping kit.
  20. I have added permissions to the selling sub forum. Let me know if there are any problems. Also, please read the guidelines before starting a thread. These are in addition to the guidelines in the other selling forum.
