When I discovered the book and his art, I admit I went overboard. I think at one time I had 25 covers.
Whoa. That's crazy. I'm trying to focus on only OA this year. I finally get to meet Ottley at Heroes this year, hoping to get a commission from him then.
Get to his table quick. I hear he has become that popular. I went to SDCC in 2008 just to get something from him. The sketches he was doing then weren't as elaborate as he does now, but it was such a great experience.
He is super nice.

Man, how I love this book.
Congrats on catching up, Ryan.
And fabulous collection Rob.
Thanks bud. I need more Vince so I ordered Invincible Universe TPB Vol 1. and a few other goodies.
Has anyone read IU? Thoughts?
Nice! I haven't read it. Ryan has to draw Invincible and the cast for it to work, IMHO.

I'm feeling pretty fortunate right now to add this to my collection. See it on CAF for the bigger story.
Simply stunning!
Edit: I was very moved by your story behind acquiring this piece as well. After everything you've gone through in this past year, congratulations on such a wonderful piece. You deserve it!
Thanks. It's was rough. Glad to put it behind me. It's was always nice to come on here and talk about this hobby of ours. Gives the mind a break.

Tough story and I hope life gets easier on you. It sounds like you have an wonderful guardian angel or two named Lisa watching out for you.
Keep your chin and your spirits up. You're a winner with good friends and family. On a separate note, awesome pic (thumbs u
Thank man. Life is definitely looking up. Getting ready to move to San Fran in the Spring to work in the big leagues. Can't wait.
Thanks for the encouraging words. I guess the sweet really isn't as sweet without the sour. But damn...

This was a hard year for me. But it feels so much better thanks to this. See it on CAF for the bigger story.

I'm really looking forward to 108. Mark going after Angstrom in the clutches of that psycho Invincible could get bloody. And Invincible is best when it's bloody.

nothing beats a good piece of ottley art.

What was the print run for Skullkickers #1? That may be a good indicator since it has the same type of feel.

Very true!

Is the new Invincible series any good? I passed because I haven't cared for any of the Invincible break-off books in the past.
Snigger? DOH. Snicker?
Pat
Invincible Universe? I don't know. I haven't read it. If it's Invincible and Ryan doesn't draw it, I'm not reading it.

It's described as a splash with a "naked babe."
What a way to describe a truly emotional scene
Are superhero books dying? When you think about all the books that have erupted, none are superhero books.
Walking Dead
Rachel Rising
Peter Panzerfaust
The Sixth Gun

You know, I'm really sad this book doesn't get more readers. I mean, even dealers who get a page (outside of splashpage, obviously) don't even know the characters. Take a look at this page.

I'm so confused?? Show it!

I just read 2.this series is so out there and different, it's awesome. Complex. I hope we get some action and drama soon. This issue brought some things together nicely.
-
Wasn't much of a fan of the first issue. Was kind of boring.
-
I love this book. It's always something new.

The granddaddy of all Invincible covers...

Haha those are awesome! I'd love to get some more OA from Ryan Ottley. I'd love to get some stuff by Cory Walker as well.
I was able to get one of my favourite covers off a board member here. His name is escaping me but he was awesome to deal with.
These are my two pieces of INVINCIBLE OA I own
Invincible #54 - Pages 16 & 17
This is Cliff Rathburn's Inks ontop of Ryna's printed blue lines. Someone else on CAF has Ryan's pencils.
Invincible #27 Cover
If anyone would like to buy any of my Invincible cover, let me know.
