  1. Easily JIM #84, at least in high grade. They're all readily available in mid grades and below. After that ish, high grade copies of 90-95 are all challenging. Thank you Namisgr. I would have thought some pre-hero books would be the toughest to find too. We will see!
  2. Is this just a thread to showcase books, or have discussion too? Can someone be so kind who has perhaps completed a run of JIM to send me a PM as to which books they felt were the toughest to obtain for their run? I would appreciate it and a future thanks to any help! When I get a chance I will get around to post some of the soon to be acquired books in this thread. I have the Suscha News JIM 119 in 9.2 that I need to get a scan of eventually. I don't see any pre-hero JIM's in this thread as much, all are Thor related books from 83-125. Is there no love for the 1-82 part of the run?
  3. I am looking to start a complete run of Journey Into Mystery from issues 1 to 125. Yes, this can be difficult and this is where I need your help! I understand it would be easier to start with the more expensive issues (JIM #83) and work my way through it. However, knowing some of the pre-hero issues could be scarcer than others I would like to know from people who have completed the run for the issues to look out for and snag whenever found as they could be more scarce or rare to find. I’m not looking to complete a run of near mint books. What I do want is to find copies in the VG to VF/NM range (for the later issues) at the very least so it’s somewhat presentable and more importantly READER copies. I would like to read the entire series! Thus, if anyone can assist in letting me know which books to look out for in whatever grade to be found due to scarcity, I would appreciate it! I already have JIM 34, 114, 119 (CGC 9.2 – Suscha News), and 122. I am now looking to fill in the rest, thanks for your help in advance.
  4. Congratulations on getting back into the pre-Robin club. It's great to see Doug helping out a fellow board member and the book being in good hands.
  5. The book went to a good home and I am happy for it. I was on the fence about the book, and it's fine that a fellow board member who is a BIG pre-Robin Detective fan picked it up.
  6. Looks like someone scooped it up already since I posted. I passed on the comic and wanted to provide a link, but the book is now sold.
  7. Thanks, I was wondering if it is worth getting a beat up copy like the 1.0 or wait for another copy in better condition. However, if I pass up on this book for a "better" condition copy then one may not come up for sale for sometime at a reasonable price.
  8. Can anyone tell me if buying a Detective Comics #36 in CGC 1.0 grade is worth it at $1,200? The cover has some major tears, but the book is universal grade and complete. I'm new to the pre-Robin Detectives and would like to start looking at getting some soon. Some sagely advice would be appreciated from fellow pre-robin Detective collectors. Thanks!
  9. Bluetooth that FF#4 in 1.5 is a really nice copy for that grade. In WHITE pages as well! Very nice.
