  1. I know what I did as a kid. I would bend the top right corner of a comic book whenever I stopped reading, kinda like marking your spot so you can come back to it later.
  2. I hate to be the one to say this ,but. Whenever a spouse loses a lifelong partner, it's usually not long after the spouse passes away . I have heard it called many things, loneliness, dying of a broken heart, nothing to live for etc.etc.
  3. Nice! One day, and I'll buy the booze......
  4. So when are you gonna come out to the show. I can just see you and I singing New York, New York on karaoke.
  5. It's a blast. I Live 5 minutes away from Terry's show, and there are more comics than San Diego.
  6. Dude I was hammered drunk talking to you.
  7. I've relegated my con fun to Terry's one day show in Yorba Linda now. Last year was a blast, partied with a ton of board members.
  8. I stopped going 3 years ago. I used to bring a boat load of dough, now......
  9. Oh they're real, and they're spectacular!
  10. Hey Pat, good to see you back.
  11. Hey Pat, good to see you back.
  12. Just say his name three times in the mirror, he'll come to you.
  13. I wholeheartedly agree with Bob and namisgr. Why in the hell would you subject a book that has lived its entire life in high grade, and subject it to pressing? What if a press pops a staple? What if it gets lost in the mail? What if that nice unpressed book in 8.0 becomes a 7.0 upon further inspection? It saddens me,a guy who actively seeks out unpressed books. Not to press, not for financial gain, just to know that I have found a true survivor for my personal collection. Cats outta the bag I know, but there are a few purists still out there. People like me who believe that actually seeking out a high grade example, instead of manipulating one.
  14. Every now and again I like slap and reslap my comics, it's good for them.
  15. I bought some books in a hotel room, felt like I was doing a drug deal.
  16. I don't know what you mean by wavy, they are fine. Also as far as dust is concerned, maybe that's a cleanliness issue not the toploader.
  17. I agree with you, but for one thing. I use a mylar\full back board, and place that in a magazine size toploader . That way there is a buffer between the non archival toploader. I love toploaders they are sturdy, present nicely.
  18. Strong price, no? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vampirella-1-CGC-9-2-OW-W-Origin-1st-Appearance-of-Vamiprella-Frazetta-/332276184127?hash=item4d5d34343f:g:cJwAAOSwjqVZNaKg
