probably posted this before but here is my slabbed Sensation 6. Not too many for sale, but there is a 4.0 on CL.

First, great story, Richard and beautiful book. You and I are pretty much the same age and I started collecting in the early 70s. No way my dad would have ponied up for that book - I had a hard enough time getting me to buy a 20 or 25 cent comic. I used to pick up soda bottles and return them to the grocery store to get my comic spending money. My mom was a little more supportive, she let me buy my first SA book - Avengers #19 for a few dollars. Nothing spectacular condition wise but Avengers was my favorite title and to get a 12 center with that PopArt logo was heavenly - and yes I still have that book. I have heard stories of the reactions other collectors parents had to their collecting and I thank my good fortune. I obviously had a very special situation. My dad was always positive and supportive, to the point that after he retired he was excited to work in the shop. Great story and book. $500 back in 1976 was a lot of money - glad comics worked out for you. I just need a 3.0 to 4.0 and I would be one happy collector.

maybe 2500 Really, that much... In August 2016 a 9.2 sold on HA.com for $4,541 (less than OSPG of $4,800). I'm eyeing a copy right now, so I was hoping that the 8.0 would go less than $1,950. could be 1500. Trouble is there are so few of certain books that fmv is really a best guess

Thanks. A few years back, before the major price jump, I was trying to upgrade my #7 and bought a raw 7.5 (better looking than my current #2, but not as nice pages) off Ebay. After counting the pages, I noticed one non-story page was cut out. I was so disappointed but still loved the book. The seller agreed to refund my money upon me telling him about page cut out.

Thanks everyone. I bought this book about 16 years ago and it was my first big purchase.
