  1. Yeah, my #23 leaves quite a bit to be desired. Blue ink spots on the upper cover and edges of pages. A print error disaster.
  2. Thanks for your replies. I am a bit on the fence about getting this one graded, but it seems like it may be worth it. Having just one issue of an entire run of comics graded seems sort of silly though. Maybe get 1 through 10 and 24 graded would be good to do. My #1 is probably a 5, the others are on the higher end though.
  3. Certainly not the best copy out there, but not the worst. The only major flaw I see is the bottom staple having a tear around it. It isn't loose, but there is a tear. Corners have a little wear. Thoughts?
  4. It appears as though the staples are in completely different spots in these 2 pics as well.
  5. Funny you say this. The time of me being glad I put it away are here for me now. I need to downsize things that I have accumulated over these many years. I have always loved my collection, but it is time for others to enjoy them, I think.
  6. Transformers Limited Series #2. Top took a hit at some point and the dent extends into the pages (only the cover has a tear). Overall, a mishandled/read book but not the worst I have seen. Not getting pressed or slabbed in this condition but I am looking to have a fairly accurate grade to state when selling it.
  7. I am looking to sell this book and #2 (separate thread) raw but want to be able to properly describe them. This one, #1, is in fairly decent shape overall other than the entire top of the book was very rough cut. I'm not sure I have seen anything like this in any other of my comics. I would generally say this looks like silverfish damage, but these books have been in tight bags since the day I bought them back in the 80's probably. Pages are white. Could use a pressing but it's not going to happen. Thoughts?
  8. Haha. I know, right? I don't understand the alignment. They looked perfect on my phone and when I uploaded them to my computer.
  9. Oh, that's good to know. Now I need to plow through my Conan collection. I have every appearance of Conan prior to 2004 other than I think he was in one issue of The Avengers for some reason in the 70's or 80's. I used to have a list of all of his appearances. Anyways, I have some nice books in there I have to check! Thanks again!
  10. Thanks all! I didn't even notice that little wrinkle around the staple. Seems like it would be worth my money to get it pressed and graded. On average, how much does off-white pages on a grade affect a selling price? The pages certainly aren't white so I am assuming it will say White to Off white at most and possibly just off white.
  11. First time user of this forum. Recently realized that my years of moving around my comics from home to home because I just couldn't part with them may have been worth it after all (please tell my wife). Going through some of my collection last night I came across this book which seems to have quite a value in high grades. It has superb eye appeal, but I am concerned with the off white looking pages. Maybe there is something else I am missing as well, but overall I think it looks great compared to many books in my collection. Interested in hearing your thoughts. I'm sure this won't be my last question about different comics in here.
