  1. Is ebay still the primary choice for a seller's market? I'm more concerned with their fees and percentages they take.
  2. I hope they don't flop this one... Mega Man aka Blue Bomber is me and my son's favorite! Sonic the Hedgehog movie wasn't terrible, but definitely something for the new school.
  3. I'd still take them out, change the sleeves and backboard, organize and arrange them, grade them and look up their value. Now, as I'm growing older, I'm taking more of an active approach when it comes to collecting. Besides, the ones when I had when I was younger didn't appreciate until the mid-2000's.
  4. I started collecting in 1991. As a young boy, I was a fan of all types of comic books; from different characters, heroes to publishers. And then one day, as I was browsing through Wizard's price guide, there was a book I recognized in my collection. Green Lantern #46 was listed at $8.00!! Cover price was $1.25 and gained +$6.75 (+0.46%) just within a couple years! Even at an early age, I've always understood comics were a lucrative investment, I just didn't think that any of my comics would be listed as valuable. After that discovery, there were books I collected, and then have separate books that I would read. I put so much effort into my collection. Researching and studying the Overstreet guide to collecting comics, and understanding how the comic book market worked. Although my collection is small compared to some, I've always appreciated how pristine I would keep my collection. To this day, I still have books that have never been opened. And periodically organized and inspected. Another aspect that appealed to me was learning about the market. Because the stock market and investing seemed to come naturally to me, collecting comics would just be another class of asset that would appreciate in value. Over the years, I would pull out my mint condition books, and check their value, see what series were popular and kept an eye out for particular collectors edition. As time went on, my collection merely grew, but retained its mint condition preservation. A little over ten years ago, I decided to invest aggressively in my collection for the future. My son was born in 2013, and decided it was the best opportunity to buy some quality choice comics at a modest price. Turned out my intuition and foresight paid off! Fast forward to today, and the books have tripled in value. After doing an informal stock inventory and appraisal, my collection has turned into something quite valuable; albeit sentimental or monetary. Now, as I re-embark into my collection, the next ten years are going to breeze on through. The next phase is to carefully select which comics are going to be CGC certified. My next level as a collector is to get into the buying, selling and trading aspect of the game. Which requires a little bit more resources. All in all, collecting comics has always been one of my things and I'm just fortunate to be in the position I'm in to continue as a hobby.
