What do you all think about the Chen/Parsons Batman Beyond? If the original is getting so hot, may be look for subsequent volumes? Or is it too new?

So what would be his range? I also like Thiberts X-Men volume 2 stuff. What's is the range for that?

I really like X-men Whilce's pages. What is their price range for his OA X-Men pages now adays? Like 15-20K for a choice Bishop DPS or SPS? And like 5K for a basic page with no heroes or villains, very uninteresting but a story page and a Whilce? As I am building out my collection I want to get a sense of what is realistic and what is not and budget, etc. Thank you! Alex

So do you think Batman Europa is pretty much as close as one average guy can get to Jim Lee's Batman?

I emailed again and he did respond and did mention he was in a car accident. Looks like he is recovering and in the grand scheme of things I certainly wish him well which goes without saying. He said I am in line and he will do his best to get to me ASAP. I came back with a full list of items I would like to purchase from his website. He almost immediately came back to verify that I am not just kicking the tires and will in fact commit to buying - which I confirmed. While I was very frustrated, must say I would rather wait or never hear back than be in and out of hospitals - gotta keep perspective. These guys are just people that often have life get in the way of life and not in a very good way. Hope he fully recovers.

That's a great point and one I learned with Jim Lee. I really wanted a few X-Men pages. Found a few Superman/Unchained ones and thought, well, the X-Men gotta cost about the same. Boy was I wrong! More like tens of thousands IF you can find them, otherwise its waiting until one comes up for auction I guess. So then when you pick the ones you like, could you also include what they are known for. Like Jim Lee is X-Men and Batman. Ryan Stegman is Venom/Carnage. Bagley would be Spiderman. For the ones Twanj picked: Segovia, Kubert, Bachalo, Cassaday, Yu, Cheung, Rivera, Booth, Asrar. Who are the top character/book representations of each of these artists?

Hello everyone! I am new to the hobby. I have collected comic books in the past, x-men, spiderman, batman, spawn, venom and carnage. I recently realized that there is such thing as original art and am hooked. I have yet to buy anything but have been looking and familiarizing with the lay of the land. I first realized there is way more artists and art that I like than I could ever buy. Moreover, I don't have a budget such that I can just buy stuff I think is cool with no regard for its price and future price as well. The purists may say just buy what you like, but with art costing thousands and tens of thousands or more certainly once a collection is put together as the total value, it would be nice to have an expectation that the prices will at least hold up.
