I've been wondering the same thing about why you continue to reply to him, and I guess I now have a possible answer.

I'm generally enjoying the series so far.  The first episode was the best--awesome pacing, fast-paced action, and lots of surprises.  I hadn't realized how slow-paced most of the Disney Plus Star Wars shows have been until I saw the quick cuts in this series.  I like how the High Republic Jedi have FAR more control over the Force than any other Jedi we've seen until now.  Makes sense that controlling the Force would be far more advanced during an era when far more Jedi and Sith are around.  Episodes 2 and 3 were less compelling, but I haven't lost interest yet.

Two questions--are the "coven" witches related to the Dathromirian Nightsisters?  Also how are we seeing a female Dathromirian with horns on the right in the pic below?  I thought the females didn't have horns.

Curiosity I suppose but I see your point.

From one of the games, there was Darth Hexid, a female Zabrak, which is different than a female Dathomirian(subspecies), as far as I understand.

Not sure on the coven relations but so far they seem similar. Curious if I can find anything more on that..

The healing will begin once Bob Igor and Kathleen Kennedy are both no longer with the company.

Honest question.  What did you think of the witches chant?  There is no way you couldnt think that was utter cringe and embarrassing.

    "The power of one"

    ""The power of two"

    "The power of mannnnnnny"

OMG just rewatching clips of that is nails on a chalkboard.

I feel like this show is Deep Space Nine meets Hocus Pocus, but with a budget that cost more than House of Dragon and the Kenobi series.

I am also sad to see Leslye Headland and I share the same birth year of 1980.   Oh I also jsut learned also see she used to be the personal asst of Harvey Weinstein, how nice. :preach:

You seriously sound like you're in pain. Why do you continue to watch it? Masochist?

What a reasonable person cant literally look at this show and see how bad it is?

How can anyone with a reasonable sense of intelligence and eyes not see how bad the acting, story, and costumes are?

I have given you reasonable reasons why this show sucks.

You have given us zero examples of why this show is good. :news:

If you think for example the fighting choreography is good, well lets compare shall we?

Carrie-Anne Moss (Indara) in The Acolyte

Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity) in the Matrix

Do you actually think the opening scene was great fighting choreography in the Acolyte? Then you must watch her in the Matrix and feint from over enjoyment lol

Not to mention in the previous other SW Disney+ series episodes where characters have lightsabers go though them, and do not die.  However, Carrie-Anne Moss (Indara) gets a small knife thrown at her and she dies. :691460725_armsraised:

I just finished Ep 1 & 2 and I enjoyed them.  The fight scenes were well done and I didn't feel bored in either episode.  It has a ways to go before I would consider it great but I'm enjoying it so far.

That's the general consensus, across the board, so far. I'm curious though, how many critics go back and change their reviews if it turns out to be "Just ok".

They only got to see the first four episodes and gave it rave reviews. I really don't understand why reviews are given before watching the entire show.

Enough with the female dominate lead stuff, please, no one cares. Why is this so important of a message/theme here that it has to be pointed out over and over again? I couldn’t get through the whole episode as they expanded on an already garbage plot line (that’s actually bordering on creepy). What made this the best episode so far? Actually don’t bother answering this series is junk.

You have the attention span of a 5 year old.

To be transparent, I completely despised the sequels films. You can look up my comments here about it. I'm in no way a Disney fan boy but to see people judging a show two episodes in an eight show series for no other reason than they just hate Disney(or women?), makes me sick to my stomach.

Stop whining and watch something else.

They are doing so great they A) had to replace their CEO B) had to revamp their entire slate of Marvel movies and C) lost half their market cap over the last two years. All is well! lol

They certainly aren't doing as well(Are any of the studios?) but with the vast amount of properties they own, the income and profits come for more than one place.

Movies, Television, Toys, Theme Parks, etc..

That's a terrible example. There's literally no reason to do that with a painting.

A show, however, is consumed. And it is common for people to stop when they don't like it, even 1 or 2 bites in.

And, if they don't like it enough, they lose their appetite.

Actually, my example is spot on.

There is. That's what you're doing to the show. Maybe I should have broken it down simpler.

You could, relatively speaking, say one bite out of a steak is a whole meal and judge it based on that

Or if the steak was tough on one half and delicious on the other.

The meal vs and incomplete story just has no logic.

    No, it isn't.

It's actually very poor on many levels but to make it simple, lets use it on a painting, because that's art. Right?

If someone creates a large painting for you but put a blanket over three quarters of it and ask if you like it.

Maybe it's green and that's your least favorite color. Not a great start! Can you hate it already though? Without seeing the rest?

You could but is that fair to the artist? It is possible it will be the greatest masterpiece you ever saw, as a completed, whole picture.

    It could be garbage too.

The point is there was nothing in two episodes to warrant people spazzing out. It makes it appear they have severe ADHD.

Be patient or don't watch it because you'll sound foolish ranting about a story that hasn't finsihed.

Is there another universe in which Ashoka is a 8.5??

    Right. Disney is really struggling.lol

Besides Andor and Mando S1 S2 (the non filler episodes) what have you enjoyed?

What I saying to you most of what Disney has put out since they they acquired the rights in 2015 has been a disgrace to all the characters and most fans agree.

What can you possibly enjoy about the CW style cringe the have become?

The biggest mistake they have made was the Obi-Wan Kenob season.  That should have been a blockbuster movie project. Darth Vader is for the big screen only!

Listen I wish I could enjoy what Disney has put out, but right now their forced (without debate here) agenda is killing this franchise.

The only SW Disney program I didnt watch was Asoka (I was excited for it), but I am glad I did not watch it now after so many people I trust told me dont bother.  I regretted wasting my time on mostly everything else they have done.  I dont have time anymore to give everything a watch when I know just from the trailers it looks cheap and lackluster.   The only reason I signed back up for Disney+ was to binge watch X-Men '97 so I might as well try The Acolyte and after 2 episodes this show is really bad.  I am going to watch E3, but I am sure it will be a waste of time.  The acting and fighting choreography is High School level!

All of that aside, what does have to do with pre-judging a completely new series, 1-2 episodes in? No one really cares about your opinion at that point, when you're so closed minded.

There's no logical reasoning. "I hate Disney Star Wars" just because, isn't valid. Ahsoka was a hard 8.5/10 but you seem so sour, I'd suggest skipping any SW future content forever.

No one can convince me that many of those critics aren't paid to give + reviews, or at least lie so they keep getting all the perks Disney provides them.

Especially with who they hired as the director I am not shocked by the failure of this TV project.

You sound pretty ridiculous. 90% of the reviews are based on 2 episodes and review bombing. Your blind hate of Star Wars Disney lacks conviction. This series could very well end up being awful but people who don't even give it a chance before the story is told sound foolish.

I don't understand why the review sites allow anyone to vote before the series is completed.

Bob Igor (Master) and Kathleen Kennedy (Cringe apprentice) are officially the Sith lords that are killing their company!

I have no faith that X-Men and FF will be good.

I just called my stock broker and I ask him what I should so with my Disney stock.

This was his logical business answer....

I've seen four episodes. I assume you've seen two or less. Just curious why you think it's so bad in such a limited sample.

You thought Book of Boba Fett was gold? lol

I don't know a single person who thought it was good, let alone "gold" and that has zero to do with being "w0ke" and everything to do with it being a steaming pile of garbage.

You're right. I forgot about that one! Although I didn't think it was garbage, it certainly failed the character and fans.

This looks hella-boring. Star Wars is circling the drain...and coming from me that's a pretty huge statement. :(

Jury is still out on this but pretty much everything else Disney has done, besides the sequels, has been gold and has overwhelming positive reviews from critics and audiences. The only negative things I've seen is from people who think they know what the word w0ke means or are threatened by strong women roles.
