  3. My better half made a deal with me that if the orders get cancelled, I would use the money to book a night at the Sybaris, so I can't be upset. Still, its funny to see how people react when they don't get a piece of the pie.

  7. Its as simple at this: If Menace didn't do this, everyone who purchased from him would have ended up lining someone else's pockets for much more and less would go to the cause. Nothing wrong or devious about him selling them. As for the people at the cons? So a few will miss ONE BOOK. Not too many were planning to go just for this. I have only been able to make it to one con in the last 5 years and will shed no tears for the handful of flippers who won't get their paws on the copies Menace will.

  10. Of course he will profit. At $10 a book and the work he is going to have to put into it, plus the chance to get the books before the full time flippers, its a more than fair price.
  11. There's going to be butthurt either way. Personally, I don't see the problem selling them here(not all of them) instead of those that will attend the show and hoard/flip them. Not to mention $10 more per pook goes to a good cause. I don't get to go to cons often so I hope it all works out. If not, oh well
