Captured collectibles are there and are CGC witness. I know they one of the last George Perez yellow labels facilitation. I am going to their booth to see if they can get me a Todd Mcfarlane Sig without having to go to NYC Comic con if he attends. Or any other the other ones he will go to once Spawn/ Batman 2 is released.

1st time going. Will be going today took a Half day off work I am about an hour away from the casino. I have heard really good things and alot of top talent is going to be there. I was a little on the fence on the show because the Boston expo was so bad but all the local vendors say this King Kon are the best Comic shows in the area so pretty excited.

ASM #1 is actually ASM #2. Amazing Fantasy #15 all day if that was the option But the 1st appearance of JJ Jameson + Chameleon or the 1st Appearance of Mutants and the X-men is a not brainer. If anything I prefer ASM #14 (which I have) over ASM #1. I did have X-men #1 but sold it when I went off to college. It was at least a 5.0 so that sucks will never be able to afford of that nice again.

So this is the 1st Carnage that is missing a staple. With no grader notes. Like if you look at the raw copy it doesn't have staple holes.... Shouldn't that have been mentioned? The only thing I noticed before sending it in was the spine tick next to the $1.50 on the cover that I hope could be fixed with a press. Was this book Qualified and that's why I got a 9.4?

yea I have been just reading Batman New 52 and Rebirth. Got more heavily into the hobby outside of Batman during covid like most people. My brother collected and all my cousins they gave me their books when they "out grew it" so I had a lot of the garbage C/D/E/F/G marvel 1st appearnces that everyone wants because X is the new Spiderman or Batman hype. Everyone who mentioned the presser I used locally and on Facebook just raves about them. The 3-4 dealers in CT that I deal with also use this presser. So I was expecting better results. The two Detective Comics 880s I had from my pull at the LCS that I worked at in High school so super high grades. To come back 8 and a 8.5 is shocking. Tho staining, wet marks, and worse spine damage on books without those notes before kind of annoy me.I already played the press and grade game to have to pay the $50 per book again for it to be done right is pretty annoying. Might just sell them as is and buy a 9.6 or just wait for Batman custom labels and try again. Like the notes are either being really harsh or wasn't pressed great since I didn't give a huge order. It was a test before giving them my more expensive books I am just super disappointed.

alot of my books mention water marks and stains that they didn't before. If you are in the east coast or in Florida Spine Works are used by alot of people and go to most the local cons. Also the YouTubers from these areas use them as well. I did get a 9.8s and a 9.6s. It's just these grades I don't under stand haha.

Only grader note is finger print on cover breaks color..... Maybe near the face on the right middle of the cover.... I barely notice it. To be a 7.5 blew my mind... and ruined my day haha sent this in hoping for a 9.6/9.8. Really should have done the prescreen

Batman 423 - this one went down 2 grades from an 8.5 to a 7.5 this one hurt alot After press (pages are white not not off white like when it was a 8.5 !!!) X-Men 101 - Page quality went from off white to White. This one presents well and it is what it is. Same with Spiderman 316 sucks since I paid $300 for a 9.4 slab then paid $40 to get it press/regarded. I accept these two grades. Tho I have a Batman 227/Hulk 181 that are 7.0s that look way way worse than this. I just got my first submission to CGC back and ouch.... So 4 books were resubmission after pressing. 1. Batman 423 - looks like they just graded the spine much harder than they did the previous time. went down 8.5 to 7.5. Didn’t have a stain before New notes - light creasing to cover light staining to cover moderate spine stress lines to cover Old Notes - light finger bends on cover light scuffing to cover light spine stress lines to cover 2. Batman Adventures 12 - this one blew my mind they got rid of the rust and dents and no grade bump? Old notes -dent left top of back cover, dent right center of back cover, small rust stain left bottom of back cover, spine stress lines breaks color. New notes - light creasing to cover ,moderate spine stress lines to cover. 3. X-men 101 - new notes - light staining to cover moderate creasing to cover moderate spine stress lines to cover Old notes - multiple crease breaks color multiple stain bottom of front cover multiple tear left bottom of back cover spine stress lines breaks color 4. Spiderman 316 - this one went down from a 9.4 to 9.0. Went from slight to moderate spine stress... Other books were raw 5. Spiderman 410 I am shocked with. Only note mentions finger Prints front cover breaks color.... No spine stress. Thought it was at least a 9.6 6. Spiderman 361 is missing a staple and has no holes.... not mentioned its a error version nor graders notes telling me why it got dinged. 7/8. Detective Comics 880s - one says it has a water stain which it didn't have before I sent it out and is the higher grade. The 8.0 just says light creasing and spine stress to cover. 9. X-men 266 seems harsh for these notes - light finger bends on cover light spine stress lines to cover

Yea they responded to me... Like if it takes 2 months + from receive date I mean and I add custom labels. You assume they'd like more $$$ from me but its probably a system tracking thing.

I sent my books out 4/13 and the books say they are scheduled for grading on 5/13….. they don’t mention the custom labels I ordered. Is it possible to update them. the X-men 1 label to me is much cooler than the Giant Sized X-men 1 also have spider Gwen 1 and edge of spiderverse 2. I sent would prefer the Gwen instead of the Miles label I ordered. now if Cgc would only give us DC labels. I’ll send in half of my collection to get reslabbed.

I had this happen with a Batman new 52 #1. I bought it signed by Capullo and Synder and when I got it I noticed it was the Walmart variant since it didn’t look like my #1 first print. It doesn’t say it’s a Walmart variant anywhere and I found out it’s actually a 2nd print. was pretty furious. It was on short boxed and I couldn’t find a way to contact the seller or return it. I put it on eBay and it sold. i obviously stated it was a Walmart variant and was labeled incorrectly. When the buyer bought it I again had them confirm they understood. but yea super annoyed. Since the reason I buy graded books is to make sure signatures are real and the book is what it’s suppose to be

That is all well and good but its been over a month.. I would assume by now they have my box. They should at least say hey we have it. Or it should show up on my status. At that point if it take 1-40 months who cares they at least confirmed my items didn't get lost.

I sent 11 comics to CGC April 13th. I mean CT isn't crazy far from FL. I know the process will take 3+ months to get graded but not 1+ months for them to confirm they received my package. Is that normal?

I'd kill for Batman Custom Labels. Spawn or TMNT labels. Why are only Marvel ones available?
