Machamp is a special case I think. He is only 1st Edition, and was not pullable as far as I know from Base Set Unlimited packs, therefore is not included. However the Shadowless 1st Edition was, and the "Unlimited" 1st Edition versions were starter deck promos. Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe that is why Machamp is not included in the Base Set Unlimited Set Registry

The more time that has passed the more I have grown to like the new labels. Holding one in my hand for the first time just a few weeks ago, it looked very nice and felt how I would expect a CGC slab to feel. Still waiting for my collection to return from reholder and to see a Pristine in person. I'm very excited to hold one of those as I really like the new gold label design. Overall, I think going with Gem Mint 10s will be good long term. People like seeing the number 10 And now it's more feasible to collect every pokemon set in a CGC 10, which is the pinnacle of set collecting. I think CGC Gemt Mint 10s will always be cheaper than PSA 10s, but that was true before. Now I think the Pristine 10s long term can really make up ground on PSA 10s like BGS 10s do, and ultimately it will all come down to individual preferences on what you would like to collect. I also see CGC being very firm as #2 in the hobby going forward.

Donโt change CGC card labels
SnorlaxCollective replied to EpicPulls's topic in CGC Trading Cards General Discussion
I don't think there is a single image left on the Cards website with the blue label, and the new label has been all over their social media for 4 weeks or so now. If you completed your submission form before 7/10 you can still get the blue label if you let customer service know. Otherwise you will only be able to get the new label from now on -
Registry Collecting Ruined?
SnorlaxCollective replied to Walnoha's topic in CGC Trading Card Registry
I've noticed this same disparities even just within the base set unlimited set. Among the Holos points varied based on the value of each one, Charizard being the highest, then Blastoise, Venusaur etc. Then the rest of the set (commons, uncommons, etc) were scored the same. CGC 9 Charizard was approx 1500pts. CGC Pristine 10 Prof Oak was 370 pts. (1/4th the pts or so of Charizard) CGC 9.5 Common was 216 pts. (1/7th the pts or so of Charizard) Now my CGC 9 Charizard is worth 15k pts. 10x of previous score. CGC Pristine 10 Oak is worth 26k pts. 70x of previous score CGC 10 (was the 9.5) Common is now worth 9.8k pts. 45x previous score. I don't really get it ๐ My CGC 10 (was 9.5) Holo Magneton is also worth more than my Charizard (22k points). Feels like because they put in the new Mint+ 9.5 in the acoring scale its all jacked up. I understand giving Pristine 10s a big boost because they are now the new maximum grade, but 9s which used to be for many vintage cards the 2nd highest grade that actually exists (right behind 9.5 and no Pristines exsisted) have now really been hurt. @CGC Lyndsey I suggest possibly the jump between Gem Mint 10 and 9 needs to be gapped here Mint+ 9.5 can't be too large of an increase from 9. -

Can't Delete From Inventory
SnorlaxCollective replied to UnboxingTreasures's topic in CGC Trading Card Registry
If you switch to "view desktop site" in your mobile browser you should see the trash can icon appear and can remove the card. Hopefully this gets added to the proper mobile site soon. -
Even if users didn't get 100% of cards, but got like 50-75 cards to get the set started I think that would be pretty cool. For example, there are still only character sets for a handful of generation one pokemon. That still leaves 800+ pokemon still needing sets made, and new cards in english+japanese being released every 1-3 months. If the bulk of a characters cards got filled in, it'd be easier to add in the rest later when someone trying to complete the set finds whats missing. We need more registry sets available to get more registry participants. Just my two cents ๐

Usually means someone used a pen/ink to try and color in whitening/defects on the card.
