  1. When it comes to those early Flash issues, that is an oxymoron. In that time period, Flash is probably the highest priced DC title in a nice grade, if you can find them. Good luck in your quest and I hope it works out for you. (thumbs u
  2. Kudos to Tom Cooke, username Super Tom. Great communication, lightning-fast shipping and a really great guy to boot. No worries buying from Tom. Has some nice books, too. (thumbs u
  3. Again, and I'm NOT a racist, but didn't he get the prison population % all wrong too? ...hey, if we don't laugh at this stuff, it then becomes harmful.
  4. Not to start a racial discussion, but I think that the inker here may have been a bit racist, no?
  5. Wouldn't those people know that Clark was Superman?
  6. Art commissions generally don't work that way. Really So I guess Dave Mckean, Adam Hughes, J Scott Campbell, Art Adams, Ect. Just go against the norm and want payment when the piece is finished. I am pretty sure it is the other way around. Infact if the piece is more than 50 dollars I won't pay for a comission up front. Yo fella..are you really still talking about this meaningless nonsense after reading that post? Giving you the benefit of the doubt, so we all know that you're not a total fool, we'll assume you didn't read that sad post. My condolences to everyone involved. Life is a fickle thing.
  7. Bring your razor with you, Tom. You'll be shaving on Sunday morning. History firsthand? No, that was 1985 (Lowest seed *8th* to ever win the Championship). You meant to say witness history "repeated" firsthand. I do recall NC going down on that run, and Roy Williams was merely an assistant then. Good luck, but remember the best team doesn't always win.
  8. After a look at the site, the pricing is actually pretty good, comparatively speaking. The shipping may be costly though. The "Classic" is some nice stuff. Good luck with your venture, Adam.
  9. I got a price quote from a guy a few years ago to build me a similar setup...I declined because I would have had to sell half of my collection to pay him.
  10. This thread seems an echo of the CGC inconsistent lately? thread from a couple of months ago. Except for all the warm welcoming and voices from seasoned highly respected hobby professionals, it's a similar rant. Whoa...hold it right there, pal. I happen to be the guy who started that "rant" as you call it. As I recall, many of the respected board members agreed that the grading seemed a bit strict at that particular time. Just do me a favor and don't put me in a boat with the screwball that started this thread...okay, Friend-O? Thanks much.
  11. Sorry if this opinion has been mentioned already, but I've only read 3 or 4 pages of this thread.
  12. This is true. As a pay-service, shouldn't the burden of obtaining the CL sales data be on GPA? I try to track sales of key books from CL, but also pay GPA for incomplete data. If they pay me, I'll track the auction sales. I'm here whenever you're ready, George.
