  1. I e-mailed several of the hardcore Twisted Metal fans over there and only two have ever heard of it. One guy in particular has seen one and confirmed that it is actually a Twisted Metal II comic and he thinks it was a prize in a contest at a video game store. He collects all kinds of Twisted Metal stuff and has been looking for the comic for years now. This one could be tough, but you did find that Dirtminator comic so anything is possible.
  2. Thanks for the link Warlord. There is another on that list that I have never heard of- Batman: Belt em for Safety. Sounds like it could be a seatbelt safety giveaway. Any ideas?
  3. No. Why have you never mentioned it before ? Well I don't know if it actually exists but someone told me they saw one years ago. I don't have a year or any other information on it so I'm throwing it out there to see if anybody has ever heard of it.
  4. It's been "absolutely fabulous" lately reading about which TV programs we like, what our pets look like, what we look like, what we all do for a living, etc etc etc, but I wish someone could answer this. It's even got Metarog stumped. If this exists it will turn up eventually. None of my sources has ever seen one since this was more of a CBS concept brochure with some art so this might not be found in comic book circles. Now has anybody heard of a "Superman at Bloomingdales" comic?
  5. Bumping this one last time to see if anybody has found an other DC Whitmans in the past few months.

  12. Well, here is an auction for a Swordquest 3. Although you will have to buy the game as well. These sometimes go for a lot of money as it is a fairly rare cartridge. I guess you could turn around and re-sell the game and make some of your money back. Swordquest 3

  17. OK, I got another Whitman variant list from a local collector I know and I also found the list that Doug Sulipa put in CBM #95 and below is what I believe is the most accurate list out there. I had some that Doug's list did not and he had some that I didn't list. The most suprising addition that Doug had was a Sgt. Rock 329 which I had never heard of before and will now hunt down. So unless someone knows for sure of any others this will be it. I hope this helps your customer out Lighthouse. Good luck finding all 164(if my math is correct). Here is the list: Action 481-483,485-492,495-499,501-508 (23) Batman 306-308, 311-320,323,324,326 (14) Brave & Bold 143,145-147,150-59,165 (14) DC Presents 1-4,9-12,14-16,19,21,22 (14) Flash 268,273-276,278,283,286 (8) Green Lantern 117-119,121 (4) JLA 158,160-162,166-169,171-173,176-179,181 (16) Legion 244-248,251-258,261,263,264,266 (17) New Adventures of Superboy 1,2,5,6,8,31 (6) Sgt. Rock 329 (1) Superman 321-323,325-327,329-332,335-345,348,350 (23) Super Friends 13-16,20-23,25,32 (10) Wonder Woman 250-252,255-262,264 (12) All-New Collectors Edition Superman vs. Ali C-56 (1) Famous 1st Edition C-61 (1) Again if anyone knows of any more please let me know.

  20. Ok, I found my old Whitman list and added a few I have discovered in the past few days. This list is probably not complete and I don't have a current price guide to check but maybe Lighthouse, FD or someone else can add to this list of known Whitman variants. This list is especially weak when it comes to the DC Presents, Super Friends and New Adventures of Supeboy entries. Just for background this list is compiled based on various sources and although all are reliable a mistake or two may hae crept in especially since most or all variants didn't have the issue numbers on the cover. On to the list: Action 481-483,485-492,495,496,498,499,501,503-508 Batman 306-308, 311-318, 320,323,324,326 Brave & Bold 143,145-147,150-157,159,165 DC Presents 1-4,10,11,12,14,15,19,21,22 Flash 268,273-276,278,283,286 Green Lantern 117-119,121 JLA 158,160-162,166-169,171-173,176,179,181 Legion 244-248,251-258,261,263,264,266 New Adventures of Superboy 2,5,6,8,31 Superman 321-323,325-327,329-332,335-345,348,350 Super Friends 13,14,15,16,20-23,25,32 Wonder Woman 250-252,255-262,264 Superman vs. Ali (Treasury Size)
  21. There was an article on DC Whitmans in Comic Book Marketplace about a year or two back but I don't remember the issue or if they had a list. Here are the Whitmans found in Comicspriceguide.com but it is not complete. I know that it is missing Superfriends and New Adventures of Superboy for example. I was trying to compile this list a few months back but?. Title Volume Years ACTION COMICS (WHITMAN) (1979-1980) BATMAN (WHITMAN) (1979-1980) BRAVE AND THE BOLD, THE (WHITMAN) (1979-1980) FLASH, THE (WHITMAN) (1979-1980) GREEN LANTERN (WHITMAN) (1979-1980) JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA (WHITMAN) (1979-1980) LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES (WHITMAN) (1980) SUPERBOY (WHITMAN) (1979-1980) SUPERMAN (WHITMAN) (1979-1980) WONDER WOMAN (WHITMAN) (1979-1980)
