I'm at 7.5 as well.

1.5 and don't bother IMHO.

I think that may grade at 3.5 with that stain and moisture damage. Possibly 4.0

First and foremost, posting books graded by the other guys is frowned upon by our CGC Overlords and against Board Rules.
That said, the back cover looks problematical to me. That’s a very noticeable stain LLC. There’s a lot of soiling by the spine and it looks dirty elsewhere. Is that a slight staple pull on the lower staple? How bad is the distributor spray? Is it all over the top edge? Does it bleed into many pages?
I did not know that but for future use thank you!
The back cover presents far better in hand. No stain in LLC. The apparent soiling along the spine is ink from when the book was manufatured. Yes there is a 1/8" tear at the bottom staple. Light rub at top staple.

OK, I have added some pics. You can see the lower right corner which shows much less in hand than the close up. Also, you will see two ever so slight spine ticks. One is in the indicia at the very bottom
of Thors cape. The other is on the red of his cape just below his hammer. Other than that the spine is pretty flawless as is the rest of the book other than what I just mentioned. I own 8.0/8.5 books that show fat worse
than this book does. I was shocked this was given a 7.0. Again I own 7.0's with so many more and noticeable flaws than this book.

I think signatures and written dates as well as date stamps DOES NOT affect the grade on these old books, especially if it is not horribly intrusiveness and this one is not.
I would not risk damaging the book and it won't change the grade IMO.

I was hoping at least an 8.5 when I sent it in. It's a gorgeous copy. It came back ... 7.0!
I also had a Batman #227 that I was hoping the same. Even the CBCS rep at the convention where I submitted them looked at it and said,
"wow, that looks like a pretty nice VF copy!" It came back at 6.0? I am thinking I need to break these open and send them to CGC. There were
others too and they seem to grade awfully harsh and even a little unreasonable. I have never been that far off with the CGC books I send in. In fact we are incredibly close or spot on!

I am thinking 2.5 at best. It has been my experience that PGX is much more lenient on lower grade books. Are you not going to divulge the grade it was given?
-
At least 8.5 and probably a 9.0 IMHO.
-
Definitely should have taken them out. NO WAT for us to tell. Guessing could be anywhere from 8.5 - 9.6?

PGM Tales of Suspense #39
in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?

Looks every bit as nice at some 6.0 books I own. At least that!
