  1. Thank you guys for the feedback. I will press this and clean it, in hopes that maybe I can fix the issue on the front cover at least. I will just try to sell this raw and list out the defects, just try to find myself an already graded one.
  2. I am new to getting books in my PC graded. Since the beginning of the year I have been pressing and cleaning my own books, so I am learning and has been quite fun and challenging. I bought this Thor GOT #6 from a FB show, but they never disclosed that there was a slight little tear on the back cover and it is also on the final page. On the front page on the top, there is a small crease and I am not sure yet if it is color breaking or if I can fix it with the tack iron or even with the press. Do you guys think this would get less than a 9.2-9.4 with these issues? This was originally meant for my PC, but I fear this could be in 8.0 territory now with this tear. Thanks
  3. Thank you! I am trying to find my way around these forums. Originally it was meant for my PC, but now that I have seen these issues I'm afraid this would hit probably 7.0-8.0 territory which I wouldn't want for a modern title. I will find that thread and cross post there.

  5. My one LCS had a copy of War of the Bounty Hunters #1 1:25 left, so I picked it up. I did pay an arm and a leg for it, but figure that a 9.8 has been going for $250-300 right now. If Lompop does take off since she goes back to The High Republic era, this is one set of books that can take off.
  6. It is crazy to think too that how many of these books are still sitting on comic book shelves, at least the ones I visit. I've already put together a short box from specing on HR. Last year I did buy a 9.8 slab for WOBH Jabba just because I thought the cover was cool looking LOL! Who would of known that 6 months later it could be a bigger book due to Lompop.
  7. It's wild. Both books received the exact same Grader notes and grade (8.0). I pressed and cleaned both books, while I can see the Batman 423 having several other issues the Batman 386 didn't have any of this that they marked. I had to spend quite sometime working on 423, also using a tack iron as I thought the book was going to get probably less than a 6.0. When I look at Batman 386 even with a magnifying glass I don't see any tears, creasing or spine stress. Grader Notes: light creasing to cover light spine stress lines to cover light tears to cover I will do as you said and give CGC CS a call to see what they can do.
  8. I received an order of 15 books today, and boy do these cases have a ton of scratches and newton rings. Even worse is that 2 of my Batman books came back with the same exact grade and same exact grader notes. My Batman #423 should of had the 7.0-8.0, while my Batman #386 which is in fantastic shape and pressed/cleaned gets the same grade and grader notes. Do you guys recommend that I call and complain to CS to see if they can regrade this one book?
  9. So my 15 Modern FT grades are complete and have been setup for shipping, yet my walkthrough is still at G/E/I. Has anyone ever had this happen? Two of my Batman books have the same exact grader notes and grade. I can agree with one of the books getting the grade that it received, but the other one was in immaculate shape after I cleaned it and pressed it. It looks like there are 3 books that I will need to crack open and repress because their grades seem to be off.

  11. There is some wackiness going on for sure. I have 15 Modern FT, which are going to Grading/QC today. Yet, my walkthrough that I spent more money on to get quick turnaround is still stuck on G/E/I. I take it that WK would go to a different set of graders than a Modern FT would, correct? I'm new to sending things to CGC, but this is some really odd stuff that a WK would still be where it is at.
  12. I think what helped me to at least get my box opened up and into the system is that I have one book that is a walkthrough which was a part of the package. It will be interesting to see how quickly these other modern fast tracks get graded. Hopefully they can get on track here soon.
  13. Thanks for the update! My WK has changed to G/E/I, so hopefully this one is completed this week. The other Modern FT order, guess we pray and hope to get that back sometime this year. LOL!
  14. Key Collector Comics has it listed as a teaser page at the end of the issue, saying its a partial image from UF4.
  15. Once the status switches to "Scheduled for Grading", on average how long does it take them to start grading Modern Fast Track and Walkthrough submissions?
  16. It’s just a cameo on one panel that shows him from the chest down at the end of the book.
  17. You do make a very good point on that. Hopefully they can get this fixed here in the near future.
  18. Thank you guys for the responses. Crazy to think how they are back to a month on opening packages. Wish they would just stop taking submissions for a good month, that way they can catch up.
  19. I just submitted 16 books and CGC received them today. One of the books (NM98) is a walkthrough, while the rest of the 15 are modern fast track. Usually how long does it take them to open up the box since it was marked as a walkthrough? I did make sure to write WK on the entire box.
  20. Last fall I did pickup both the second prints of UF4, the Bagley in 9.8 and the Picheli in 9.6. Now I'm sitting back thinking that I do need to get the first print in at least a 9.6 before the prices start climbing again. Some think that Miles may not amount to much, but I do see him as this generations Spiderman. Marvel will probably never retire Peter, but they will always have both co-exist in some capacity or another. Like the original poster, I was going back trying to get many of his key back issues and I even have hopped on getting a few of UF3 as you know some may look at that book if they can't afford UF4 and could get a nice little bump.
