  1. These two arrived today from the recent comiclink auction
  2. WOW those are great Andy. I often think a Pedigree in a plastic coffin is such a shame. And slabbing a Curator is a crime.
  3. Ah so you own the Green River ASM Annual 1. I had bought a bunch of Thors off Shin and was contemplating this book and them poof it was gone. I can't remember, around Wonder Con in SF 2005/6 maybe. Gorgeous book
  4. I see that you have a cert from Shin - those are awesome certificates Just in this week, the DD Pedigree machine keeps on rolling
  5. Bit of an impulse buy, but 12c DD Pedigree books
  6. And this was the last TOD 30c I needed.
  7. For some reason this issue of Powerman had eluded me ... no longer. Thanks Bill.
  8. Finally back in CA after a bit of an absence, getting around to opening some packages and feeling like a baseball team with a Magic Number. Probably jinxed it and wont buy one for a year
  9. Again to resurrect - had a bit of a Pedigree Problem this month. Here is the first, post the rest over next few days. The wrap on this book is notoriously bad, in fact a lot of the DDs in the 30s have some production issues.
  10. I'm almost ready to post my BA HOM run, this copy is a bit better than my raw and NOTORIOUSLY difficult in High Grade.
  11. Probably too many BA books to list, but here are a few. 1st Book, I've got a DD problem as I subsequently went on to pick up the White Mountain copy of this book.
  12. Two comments, 1. WOW does this copy have great centering. 2. Is that a tiny color breaking crease bottom right corner? I'm just asking as 9.6s actually have defects, just wanted to ask what you thought about the book in hand?
  13. I think the Sgt. Fury's are in what I'd call "Tier 2" Rare. After the Westerns and other books FD mentioned. They fall in with some of the more difficult Super-Hero and Horror books; Chamber of Chills, MOKF 39 Planet of the Apes etc,
  14. I'm kinda softening on the WWT 15, might go in cycles, but there seems to have been a few out there in the last few years. On the KCs, ya those are the though ones. Hope that's your Scooby Doo, I've only ever seen 1 of them in person. Crazy rare.
  15. How are you not a 100K posts yet? Slowing down in your old age
  16. I understand that Canada Post past a certain weight, a weight less that USPS, hikes up shipping costs. But for 1-2 books that cost is not really that prohibitive and whats with the Canadian sellers charging shipping in US funds I will say that yes, in person, at the Cons that sellers are a lot less than the US dealers so there's that. Comic Cons in the US are a little bit on an embarrassment of riches though as there are not nearly as many in Canada. I did get some great Canadian maple syrup for a colleague of mine in the office who is from Vermont
  17. Ok, first of all I'm Canadian and some of my all time favorite comic dealers are in Canada. That said, I found myself in Canada for about a month recently so decided, hey I'm going to buy some books from Canadian sellers of EBAY. I've got access to a Canadian mailing address so why not, should be fun right? ...... Well I've seen a lot of stuff on EBAY, but over the course of 10-12 transactions I've now seen it all. I left feeling really really sorry for my Canuck compatriots that have to buy from Canadian EBAY sellers. All I can say is WOW. The grading was pretty terrible, but its EBAY the originator of the NM really VF so I was expecting that. But these were sellers who seem to actually sell comic books in some quantity and what really go me was the shipping. I realize that Canada Post is a bit more expensive than USPS, but the costs were crazy, including the one guy who tried to charge me $16 to ship one book in Canada But the final straw was the packing, so I've bought your over graded, hidden defect not visible from the picture, comic book, paid you twice what it cost to ship it (actually some sellers charging US funds for shipping) I wonder if they paid Canada Post in US funds. Only in 2 out of 12 occasions did I receive the 'sandwhiched between two pieces of cardboard' method of comic shipping, on half the books I didnt even get bags and boards. I did link up with 2 pretty good sellers, but of the 12 transactions I'd have to say the standard was C- at best. While im not saying that the US sellers are all on the up and up, but wow talk about the barren wasteland of selling comic practices in Canada. Insert upside down Maple Leaf here
  18. The Phantom 17 is one of my all time favorite BA horror covers and the Weird War 3 is suuuuper tough in HG.
  19. Hey Rob thanks, hope you post some of your books I will likely crack the 103 out as my Bronze DD run is all Raw except for the 81 and with the provenance easily established by the pen mark in the price box the label doesn't mean as much as if it were say a Boston or Western Penn.
  20. The Curators went as Curators usually do, for multiples. Though they never cease to amaze me and rightfully so, the $$$ on the bronze Curator was a little jaw dropping. I bought the 34 because this book is notoriously bad for QP in terms of the cut and the WPenn as you can see has a great production quality to it. I was the under bidder on 5-6 others I think, had a bit of a splurge at comiclink so decided to exercise some restrain there. The other because almost all of my DD 20c are Peds (mostly Oaklands) and always on the hunt for the final few that are not. Thought the TC 83 was pretty strong as well.
