  1. You should open a ComicArtFans gallery - www.comicartfans.com - and spend some time exploring that wonderful archive. Just did...what a website. It's gonna take me days to explore it.
  2. I like this one. It's a refreshing change to see an artist go for a nhatural/realistic look - as opposed to something like the first page you exhibited, which shows Magneto as a rival to the Hulk in the muscles department. I love this page too. I thought the same thing, very refreshing to see Magneto in an understated costume and with a normal build. Plus I like that his face is in shadow.
  3. I'm a total newb when it comes to OA...wanted to wade into it slowly. I'm collecting OA that features my favorite character, Magneto. These are my first pages in the collection.
  4. Sweet looking room...very clean look to it. I'd love a look at some more of that OA!
  5. Its ashame that people can't take the time to really look into something. Zombies are the backdrop...they sit in the background where they belong for a reason. IMHO, this story is about humanity, and how it all goes to when structure and order are removed...how people deal with tragedy and loss and change as the world they know around them disappears. The show isn't about zombies...its about basic human survival. I think its one of the reasons why the comic book is done in black and white...no color allows the reader to focus on the story and characters, not the blood and guts of it all. Anyone who takes the time to truly grasp this will love what Kirkman and his crew are doing. I LOVED the fact that we didn't see a zombie in this episode until right at the end...that makes me feel like the show is heading in the same direction as the comic...not about zombies, about human struggle and survival. I enjoyed episode 2 a lot.
  6. Man, I showed my wife your collection of slabs...now mine don't look so bad. Nice collection!
  7. Epic copy Joey! One of my favorite TTA covers.
  8. I miss it already I'm sure you do! That is a gorgeous 3.0. I love beautifully presenting lower grade copies like this book. Me too, nothing wrong with the WOW factor for not alot of money. Amen to that...nothing better than beautiful low grade goodness.
  9. Ah, so YOU were the one holding the line up!
  10. Posted this in the Silver Age thread but I thought it deserved a little more love...my new baby:
  11. Has Justin seen your sig. line yet? Not sure...Working on my 100-118 Cap run...I'm getting there.
  12. Cool - I'd like to have a BYRNE sig on a book from that run. This X-Men run is my all time favorite...having a Byrne SS was a personal grail and as well all know, not easy to attain considering his unwillingness to do SS books now. So its taken me quite a long time to get my hands on one...and I wanted a Phoenix cover if possible. I was gitty over the book yesterday and my wife just smiled and laughed at me.
  13. I'm very happy to post this book...this is a personal grail for me and its been a several year conquest to attain one:
  14. Back again...Steve is one of the best sellers on the boards. Period. He took a month worth of his time to track down a specific book for me. Steve rules.
  15. Got a few books coming this week to add to my Cap run, 100-118.
