  1. I tried to snipe Goon #2, however my bid wasnt high enough...
  2. Yes!!! CGC added Orgin of the Goon. So far I'm the only one.
  3. Actually prices or demand, for the Avatar Illustrated have come down. The highest price was 9.8 "privately sold for $300" according to ebay. It last closed at $218. After that, there been two sellers ,who been trying to sell, one selling a 9.8 for $450. A seller that looks to have a raw copy that keeps lowering his or her amount. The seller started with bid $99 with BIN149, then lowered to bid $89 with BIN $109, now $89 with $99. I think buyers realized it was a preview book or the ones that really want this book know where to get it. As for the Goon #1, supply for 9.8 has dried up, knowing that movie is coming out sellers are holding on to their supply. Accordding to the census, there's only "18". I am sure if someone was smart enough put a 9.8 auction style, not BIN the price would be beat the current record. The reason, Sellers who already own the book would bid. The movie is still about two years away, nothing but potential. Raw copies seem to remain stable 90-110. There's a guy trying to sell a Goon 1 and 2 9.6 for 599. The seller been trying those book nearly a year now. I think that's just a case bad marketing or "look what I have". Goon 3 has increased in price. According to GPA, Goon 3 9.8 is worth more than Goon 2 9.8. That being it's the first orgin of the Goon.
  4. Or Eric submitted the whole book Goon 1 to Avatar. However, since Avatar was unwilling to pay Eric to draw new material to promote his book, Avatar just used last pages of Goon #1 in which Eric used to promote Goon #2.to save money by putting the Goon #1 cover on the last page of Dreamwalker #0. Avatar decides to make a few "limited editions" with some random sketches Eric drew without his permission. Later Eric, realizing that Avatar is not putting the proper quality in his book and giving him the proper respect, decides to not publish in any new work, and to wait his contract out to properly promote his book himself. Naw, that cant be it, that makes toooooooo much sense.
  5. I asked him on his webpage, now we just wait for his response.
  6. Let me guess You bought all the dreamwalker #0 for $3.00 a piece. I cant argue that. False,it is in Goon #1 pages 25-28.
  7. I made a request on my goon #3 signature series at comic con for 1st Origin. Huh?? Vertigo Absolute has shown enough sales, to support what I am saying.
  8. The one book that should be picking up Is Goon Avatar #3 First Origin of the Goon,
  9. Well, then please give us a bit of an education from your experience. I'd be interested to hear this. see page 28-29 Absolute Vertigo yes a good example.... according to history, I would sell now. Preacher Preview is the actual book by the creative team Hence, why I said only to those who think its original artwork or those FISHING for more than what it is... much like like all those with Absolute Vertigo at one point it was high....now....
  10. Honestly, no. Well, only to those think that book has original artwork. Just like that dang Preacher Preview...worthless. UMMMM NO, horrible example...
  11. Honestly, no. Well, only to those think that book has original artwork.
  12. Prices closing $25-33 which is down.
  13. He ebay is officially flooded with issue #1 first print.
  14. Basically, there was a false supply vs demand. The price for chew #1 will drop.
  15. Bcruze, I almost bought that Goon 1 Sketch cover with a bid of $177, until I learned the sketch wasnt attached. Besides, I perfectly Happy with my Goon # 1 9.8 sketech SS.
  16. Oh, I hear ya. If the Avatar Illustrated is nothing but preview material, I could see this is like a few other books that some sellers have tried to offer as "the real 1st appearance" like John Constantine's appearance in Saga of the Swamp Thing 37 was printed ahead of time in a DC Comics Sampler. But I think TJ is saying there are two pages of stand-alone material that involved dialogue between two key villains. That is different. And with Dime Press 4, it is just the cover with "Hellboy" written below, and the character is not 100% drawn the same as what he would become. That's why some consider it a prototype issue, and SDCC 4 is the real 1st appearance. No, ALL of the images in Avatar Illustrated are from 1st issue of the Goon. The image of GOON with the gun is on page 13 of the 1st issue. The prologue (with Lazlo and the Priest is on page is 1-2 of the 1st issue. The cover page of Avatar illustrated with the GOON's head is a taken from page 13 of the 1st issue of the GOON.
  17. That is odd as you think with at least two pages of material, that should be enough to note a 1st cameo at least. It's like the entire Hellboy 1st appearance situation that comes up on here. John Byrne's Next Men 21 IS NOT the 1st appearance of Hellboy, yet this is noted on the CGC label. SDCC 2 has a 4-page story, which I would think is enough to capture the designator "1st appearance of..." Heck, that SDCC 2 is loaded with 1st appearances. I'll have to check what the label says. Hellboy Dime Press= Different and New Drawing of Hell Boy, Goon's Avatar illustraed = Material taken from a Finished Goon 1 not yet printed. They are Not the same. A good example would be, Invincible first appearance, see Savage Dragon #102, Master of the Universe #1, and Tech Jacket #1.
  18. No, all those images are from 1st issue. The image of goon with the gun is on page 13. The prologue and the other pages 1-2. Plus , no dialogue from the Goon = Cameo at best.
  19. Isnt that a magazine or a preview for avatar?
  20. I noticed prices are coming down. In addition, Noble causes#3, The intro to Invincible isnt selling so well. Right Phi Gam
  21. Prices are dropping on this. Odd how the Intro of Invincible, has trouble selling.
