  4. My project today was to get some of my comics out on display in my man room. I wanted a way to show the comics with minimal "shelf" showing and also keep cost down. I used wire shelving in a nickel color and attached the "shelf" side facing the wall creating a lip at the bottom. I then used adhesive backed felt furniture slides behind the bottom of the shelf to space it out creating an angle at which the comics would not fall. I think it turned out pretty good. All items were in stock at the local Home Depot.
  5. Great guy. Awesome communication, fast safe shipping and cards just as described. Couldn't ask for more.
  6. I would agree. The signatures look a bit off. Only way to be certain to maintain credibility and value is to get it authenticated via PSA/DNA: http://www.psacard.com/Services/AutographAuthentication John Williams and Dave Prowse autographs are the ones that are sending up major red flags because they are very clean most of their autographs I have seen are very messy. So the signatures are over 20 years old which explains some of the "inconsistencies". I also have other signatures of john williams which are similar. Feel free to google Nick Maley who worked on the original Star Wars films as well as other films. I met Nick and built a relationship with him and was able to buy this from him at a time when he was selling off some of his memorabilia. He has quite a few pieces he put together over the years of the early press tours and conventions that are even more impressive than this. Congrats on a sweet poster. (thumbs u All you need now is James Earl Jones and Frank Oz. :wish luck: Thanks. I definitely want to add Jones, Daniels, and Bulloch. Jones is hard to get.

  8. It was signed at many different times and some of the sigs are over 20 years old. I have multiple Harrison Ford, George Lucas sigs and they are each a little different. The previous owner of the poster has some very rare Star Wars stuff including an idea book that Lucas handed out to the creative team and there is supposed to be only 10 of them. It was really cool to look at as it had hand drawn sketches from Lucas as he envisioned some of the characters and ships.
  9. So not a comic but definitely one of my prize Star Wars pieces. Signed By: Mark Hamill Carrie Fisher Dave Prowse Kenny Baker Harrison Ford George Lucas John Williams (composer) Billy Dee Williams Peter Mayhew Ian McDiarmid
  10. Great Thread. I see quite a few books that I would love to add to my collection. I also see quite a few that now i know who outbid me on. Here are some of mine. 24 Signed by Sutherland,Sackhoff,Rajskub,Prinze Jr,Kapoor. Jon Favreau Nick & Gene Simmons Bruce Campbell Helen Slater Tricia Helfer Rosenbaum & Schneider Seth Green Anthony Daniels Nicolas and Weston Cage Gil Gerard and Erin Gray Lou Ferrigno I've got more just not scanned in.
  11. I've got a couple cool things on the bay right now. Walking Dead #80 CGC SS Kirkman Yeun Bernthal Heroes (NBC) Cast Signed Poster
  12. That seemed to be one of the books he liked to sketch on. Here's mine.
  13. I am - here's a few I've picked up recently. Nothing as flashy as that JLA #1 colored by Steigerwald tho' ... that's amazing! Well at least I know who has been outbidding me on ebay.
  14. Thanks to Comic Book Guy for these. Jon Favreau If anyone has any leads to get Scar Jo,Downey Jr. or Mickey Rourke added to this one let me know. Gene & Nick Simmons & Nam Kim Kiefer Sutherland,Freddie Prinze Jr.Katee Sackhoff,Anil Kapoor,Mary Lynn Rajskub I need to scan the bottom 2 again as the flip n stick makes that funny glare.
  15. Are you looking for anything in particular for this?
  16. Should we create a separate Chew sales forum? It seems there cannot be a sales thread without a Chew book in it.
  17. The back looks really brown on the BC and it looks like some dust shadow or sun tanning on the back that would kick the book out of HG. (thumbs u An agreement from JP helps as well. Wonder why Matt didnt assume that as well. I thought the back cover was the reason also. Maybe I should just add Stan Lee's and Steranko's sig to it.
  18. How nice are the scans? Do you have an example? I am in the market for one. Heres one. I used to use Photoshop but now for my quick scans I am using Picasa which is free and super easy. I just crop them, straighten them and use the "I'm feeling lucky" auto adjust all in Picasa and they look great.
  19. Disappointed with this one.Everyone who saw it thought it was a 9.0 even Matt Nelson so I had him press it since he thought it would be a 9.2 with pressing and it comes back 8.5. I will be selling this one at a loss soon.
  20. This is way OT here but there are alot of people that sell a lot of slabs here that either do not have a legal size scanner or scanner at all.Recently there have been some listings of really nice books with no pics at all. I am here to help. I recently bought this scanner from seller norsystems on ebay for a best offer of $75. I also know 3 other pelple that have purchased the exact same scanner from that seller with great satisfaction. I am in no way affiliated with the seller but i just thought I would share a good deal with you guys. The way I see it if you are consistently selling $100 plus slabs the legal scanner is a must.
  21. It's in good hands and you know you get dibs if I ever sell it.
  22. Huge Kudos to shortstack comics for some great slabs and super fast shipping.
  23. Thanks to a fellow board member. The one and only 9.8 SS on the census.
  24. Here is a few recent additions thanks to a couple of board members. Smallville signed by Rosenbaum and Schneider I would love to get Welling and Kruek added Supergirl signed by Helen Slater One that needs no description. and a new favorite BSG signed by Tricia Helfer
