  1. INCREDIBLY LARGE KUDOS to EvilAsh For shipping to me safe and sound this incredibly cool book The picture is incredible but the book itself in person with the sigs is really really cool. This one will be around awhile so thank you EvilAsh for a great transaction and a wonderful book.
  2. Kudos right back ya....I appreciate the conversations we have had, and the advice and information shared has been more than helpful. (thumbs u Glad they arrived safely and the extra ASM books were sent as padding Kudos back to you for quick payment and another smooth transaction.
  3. You're a good man J for taking all this on to resolve the situation. Thanks for showing so much care. (thumbs u I'll second that. Looks like the little turd gets away without even doing any legwork at all. I seriously hope you learn from this CAPFreak. There won't always be people who are willing or prepared to dig you out of your own holes. Even if capfreak Someone else clears up his problems I think he should stay on the probation list.
  4. Working on getting a thread of Amazing spider-man going starting at 400 and working my way down. (thumbs u Should be ready to go with the first batch of books in a little less than an hour. These will be posted in the mixed age thread since the issue numbers will jump ages and I don't want to have threads going in multiple sales area's..call me lazy
  5. Kudos to Mr.Diggler for a bunch of great DD's and turtle books. Couple of really cook extra books were in the box as well (thumbs u Thanks again Danny
  6. Bringing a graded book on here for $250 that sells for $145, then takes it to eBay and gets - ready for this? - $122. Taaa daaaahhhh! I'm in a mood too, but I'm on antibiotics for a sinus infection. At least that goes away. I seem to remember this conversation. enlighten us. Noo. Come on now. The discussion was "Is in appropriate to make comments in someone's sales thread, or to PM them." Didn't want this turning into a list of folks that try to sell for higher on here and then when they do go to eBay they get hit with reality. That's a group PM discussion, IMHO. What time will the group PM outing be? I posted an ASM slab on here for what I thought was a good price and now it is sitting on Ebay and looks like I am way off, the best offers I have recieved are at least $100.00 under GPA 12 month avg. I know GPA is just a tool to use to help set a price but I figured the offers would be more in line with the avgs. Actually if the offers continue the way they are going it will likely come back here for an even lower price then what it was before since I would rather give someone a good deal as opposed to giving up $50.00 in selling fees.
  7. Very tricky to distinguish between them. "Dunderhead" That is great if I was ever going to change my screen name I think that would be the one. (thumbs u The hard part about improving grading skills, for me, is the distance it's not like we can look at the book together and go over the flaws and discuss the degrees of damage that change a books grade. It takes patients and a little bit of tolerance to put up with and then educate people new to the art (like myself). If you feel a book is over graded, or undergraded for that matter, and your basing it just on the scan it's worth the PM just to ask why it was given that grade. After the seller explains how they came up with the grade you can share your concerns and maybe just maybe help a fellow collector out. I don't agree with doing it in a persons sales thread however since it can turn the sales thread into a public debate thread, which is fun but not very productive for example the conan sales thread in mixed age right now. Sorry for the longish post. Danny
  8. If you don't let a person know they missed something while grading they can't get better. I ask most buyers to tell me what they think of the grade and it has been very helpful.
  9. Continued discussion from the Returner Conan Sales thread..... It seems to me if you buy books from someone and then decide to sale that's your right you own them. The conflict I see is in the fact that Returner helped Mary with grading and pricing during her thread and it could look and feel like a conflict of interest. Probably not since he is not posting all the books and trying to turn a profit. Seems to me like he is trying to move the stuff he just doesn't really need in his collection. Just my opinion... Danny
  10. Kudos to ft88 for a very nice DD book and some great packaging and quick shipping.
  11. I plan on posting some books this weekend. I will probably be cheap stuff and be in the mixed thread since it is a bunch of random un organized . X-men Spider-man Superman FF Avengers Omega Men ETC Be about an hour from now. (thumbs u
  12. Right back at ya. And thanks for working with me on some of the details and keping the lines of communication open. I learn something new everyday on these boards and appreciate every interaction I have with members like your self. Danny
  13. I know GPA tracks trimmed and incomplete so you might be able to figure it out based on what they have sold for in the past.
  14. Top man!!! -slym Since nobody knew who the seller was until now, I'll second the statement "Top Man" as once we worked out the slight miscommunication, Danny stepped right up and offered to take the book back. That's a solid seller to me. Thanks Danny. Book is ready for shipment for tomorrow morning. Thanks again Nick it's not always fun dealing with people that are new like me but with time we all learn. I have found that life is easier if you only make the mistakes once, and you can't learn from your mistakes if you don't recognize them for what they are.
  15. Thanks for the advice on the bags, as Brian (bghkoyama) to show me these recently, and I LOVED the look. Now I know where to buy them. PM sent to Nik, DrWatson, and Resurrection with the details. I'd like your expert opinion if you would call that a straight book and tell someone this when asked. Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way. Fine, even tho i was the first to defend you, dont pm me. You're right. I'll share, but the seller saw the photos and now totally agreed the book is cut odd and said to send it back with shipping covered. Solid results! For those of you not in the loop. This is the book that was sold. And yes I was the seller. When Bosco ask about the cover being crooked I was looking at how terrible the scan looked and agreed but thought the book was straight. Actually I compared my cover to another image I had found on line and the title was crooked on that as well and I thought that was how it had been printed. After seeing the copy he already owns I understood what he meant and offered a full refund with shipping. As far as the CGC bag goes, well let that be a lesson to a newbie....I took them all out of the bags and more than likely threw the bags away. I had no idea they were important. I will remember that when the next few books come in from CGC. All and all I have no problem making this right if an error is made. Just ask anyone who has bought from me since I joined on these boards. The guys with the best stories I will keep secret. Danny Yet another missed opportunity for a perfectly good flame war. I guess I could have waited for a while and let the pitchforks come out. There's always next time.
  16. For the record, I received a handful of raw books from Danny and found them to be accurately graded. But it was odd that they arrived without bags and boards......JUST KIDDING. Very funny.... wait I sent you the "actually graded correctly" books what was I thinking.
