@CGC MikeAny new updates on the holders from the ship tests you did last week?

My takeaway from following this topic throughout this whole year is that safely encapsulating metal cards is an incredibly difficult process. I think it's best to consider them ungradable for now, and when CGC eventually drops the news of a solution it will be a nice surprise.

Hello - The only way to get a perfect 10 is to pay for sub grades and receive 4 10's on the sub grades. Grading with sub grades takes 3 or 4 times longer than without, so to examine every card in that level of detail, even those that do not pay for sub grades, is not feasible.

Can somebody elaborate on the second sentence? If no-subs take shorter to grade than subs, and are examined at a different level of detail, that seems to imply that they are graded with less accuracy.

Well I was able to submit mine a few days ago made two different orders; sent 2 different packages & paid for return shipping twice... it's on GODs hands now lol... I credit y'all who have waited 6 months... mailed them out two days ago & were received today...the regular card shows scheduled for grading & the metal card says received.l🤞🏽🤞🏽

They will most likely hold them for 1-2 months before mailing them back to you ungraded.

  4. My metal card submission is now marked as shipped, but the columns for grade and subgrades are empty even though the identifying information has been filled out.

Does this mean there was a problem with grading them or authentication? Maybe they were assigned "No Opinion" due to "a lack of available research?" These cards are extremely niche (I can't find any info about them online other than a vague idea on how they were released) so it seems like CGC has successfully researched at least their identifying info.

    Submission #4068187

    Order #: CGC4193090303

  5. My recent metal card submission has now been marked as shipped, but the grade and subgrade columns are empty. The card identifying info is filled out.

Does this mean there was a problem with grading or verifying authenticity? Or maybe they were not slabbed due to being metal? The cards I submitted are very low pop from a niche TCG (Force of Will).
