  1. What do you mean exactly by custom label and digital imaging? I know the pressing is part of the cleaning process but Idk what you mean by the other two things
  2. The comic I was thinking of grading I believe was released in 1986. Would this package apply to that comic? Again, I'm completely new to this grading business so Idk how any of this works.
  3. And which one is that? Cause it has, "modern" "economy" "express". Like which package costs those three fees you mentioned
  4. The comics maybe a 7? Not sure. https://www.ebay.com/itm/255567050203 You can be the judge It says 1986 so I'm assuming that's when it was released. And yea, things like that is what I need to know. Release date and grade effecting fees of grading? This complex mess hurts my head. I'm stupid in general but I also take meds for my epilepsy and they slow me down I swear
  5. So I'm seeing crazy high prices to get something graded. If I'm understanding this right it can cost over 150 dollars to get one comic graded depending on various factors. This is why I'm confused cause although you're giving me these links, they just lead me to places that talk about stuff they don't explain, it's like they expect you to already know a bunch of stuff going into this.
  6. What about one of those eye glass cleaning clothes? You know the super soft ones you use on your glasses and stuff
  7. Ya I already saw that. For lack of a better term, I'm guess I'm just stupid cause I didn't understand what it meant It used terms and talked about stuff I didn't understand. I just wanna know how much it'll be to send in my single comic book, get it graded and have it sent back to me.
  8. Do you apply these in any specific order? Like How do you use these specifically
  9. I've never personally got a book graded so I need to know from people who's done this whole thing before. I know you gotta get the 25 dollar membership thing, but what about after that? Are there a bunch of fees or some hidden charges? I just need to know the ACTUAL number I'll be charged.
  10. When people see my 9.8 and inedvitably end up handling it with their oily greasy hands, what's the proper way to clean it? And what about rougher stains. I just wanna know what the cleaning protocal is for slabs
  11. I mean of course you have eBay and stuff, but what are the like the top 3 or whatever places that you go to sell your comics that everyone uses. Places with people who have big money know about and go to check for good buys lolz
  12. I think the idea is wherever the title "white pages" is doesn't effect the value at all. It use to be centered on the slab back in the day, but now it's placed under the grade number. It has nothing to do with value they just switched where they placed it
  13. It's in the title. Basically I wanna know if there's ANY difference between the white pages stamp that appears below the comic grade and the white pages stamp that appears at the center of the slabs top.
  14. Are all slabs the same basically? I was wondering how much you could customize a slab if at all. Like is there a poor mans slab but then you got the premium slab that offers better protection or something I just wanna know if they're all the same or are there options, and if so what those options are.
  15. Well for me I'd be worried about cleaning/pressing the older comics cause they're not nearly as strong as the modern ones. For example, pressing/cleaning World War Hulk would be a lot safer than some comic from the 80s lolz
  16. Well for me it's quality over speed. Idc who's faster as long as whoever it is gets the job done right
  17. What do you mean by OP? And in regards to your three rules I pretty much 100% agree. The thing is the 9.8 preys on neurotic people like me Ik there's pretty much no difference visually but I want those extra points so bad regardless But my wallet doesn't agree so that's that
  18. Ya. I noticed that the prices jump INSANELY high once you get into the last few points
  19. So CGC sends my comic to CCS and they clean and press it? And what if something goes wrong in the cleaning/pressing process? What does CGC do for me then?
  20. So does CGC do the clean/press process? And if so, should I trust them? I mean how's their track record with that sort of thing.
  21. It's basically all in the title. I've heard people say you should clean/press your comics before sending them in to get graded but nobody ever says how/who to send them to in order to get them pressed. So who's the CGC for pressing and cleaning? Thanks for your time.
  22. Does cleaning/pressing a comic do any sort of damage to the comic? I feel like it would strip away some of the original color or something. I'm no expert of course but it feels like when people try to "restore" old coins or guns by using sand paper or a wire brush and they end up destroying a lot of the value. Is the comic community like basically united on this? That cleaning and pressing can do nothing but help the comic?
  23. Just curious what you mean by chasing the 9.8 sticker. I'm a newbie so I'm not sure what that means lolz I mean I know that's a grade but what do you mean by chase it
