I feel compelled to say that this is why I started building Nerd Crawler in 2022. HA and ComicLink haven't had any major competition so nothing changes and consumer experiences are stuck in 2004. Every day, I'm shipping code to make a better auction platform and marketplace where sellers and artists can sell directly to collectors with significantly less seller processing fees (0%-4% on NC vs. 10-20% from Heritage and ComicLink), an escrow service to secure funds to protect buyers and sellers, and modern features like auction sniping protection, max bids, and more. In fact, literally yesterday, I shipped new code that should send auction watchers an alert 1 hour before the auction ends and 20 minutes before an auction ends based on someone's feedback. I recognize that HA and ComicLink are massive and so shipping new code isn't as easy as me typing away, but at some point, they need to invest in infrastructure to make things better. And if they don't, hopefully I can move the industry forward just a little bit. Sorry for the rant!

There was some confusion about swiping to bid even if you’re the current highest bidder. So, to make this right for everyone, I added a feature where you cannot swipe to bid or add a custom bid if you’re the current highest bidder, but you can make and adjust your max bid. And then the seller agreed to relist it for a shorter time and let everyone have a fair chance. It’s been a fun journey building NC and each new feature is built on the feedback of the community so if anyone ever has any idea please let me know!

So first, what are the new key features of Auctions on Nerd Crawler? Auction on Nerd Crawler -- no monthly subscription needed! Everyone said they would rather pay a small % fee to list auctions instead of having to pay a monthly subscription. So, I made it happen! Now, as long as you're approved to list auctions, you can do so! To learn more about Auctioning and applying for auction verification, visit the Seller page Buy, Sell, Checkout on NC: Now you can sell, handle payments, and get paid directly on Nerd Crawler. Our seller fees (2-4% depending on membership plan) are much lower than the 6.5-20% from eBay, Heritage, and the other guys so you can make more for your art and pay less in fees. Escrow with Nerd Crawler: If Nerd Crawler was going to take a fee from transactions, I wanted to provide actual value so I’ve also launched Escrow with Nerd Crawler.
