^ what he said The Marvel formula from the past will never work again because the human race is not in that same place now a days. Stan Lee was pretty smart. He found the formula that reached a whole generation. I'm not so sure there really is a generation right now. Everybody is all over the place with too many choices for entertainment and bringing them all to one place again (comic books) is probably not going to happen. Movies have trumped comic reading

thirded..... here's mine. Some great stories in this group. Wagner tells amazing stories. This issue (#21) is the book that got me started. It was 1985 and I was checking the new issues at Geoffrey's on Crenshaw when I saw this awesome cover!! So Joe Kubert Rock like. I bought it, read it, then proceeded to track down all the other issues. Lots of Brian Bolland covers in there too.

Planning for the Christmas raffle NOW !! The time squish is beginning to hit again, and I will be absent a lot till mid NOVEMBER most likely, HOWEVER...... I am giving considerable thought to this years Christmas raffle and plan on offering something worthy of a top 10 choice! That's right, I'm not going to search through my collection and find the least desirable stuff I have and give it away, I'm going to try and put together something that any comic book fan will find appealing. And I'm putting out the idea to everyone here to follow suit. Start thinking of the raffle now and offer something extrodinairely cool, good or awesome !! You might even "de-throne" Greggy and his mystery box. Don't wait till the last minute. Put your heart into it. Think about it and be creative. Lets make this the best most amazing raffle ever !!
