  1. Hi all, I don't sell on here much but lot's of folks know me. Rich Evens, Rick Whitelock, Dale Roberts, Al Stoltz, etc...... I don't do much in modern type books, i'm normally a Gold and Silver guy. PayPal is fine. Shipping is Priority Mail Insured and is a flat $20 no matter how much you buy. No returns on slabs. Hope you find something you like.
  2. Sure, I'll be glad to. I'm off next week so I can get together a list. Do you want just the Omnibus' or Master Works also? Also have the Larger type Hardcover trades. Not sure what you call those lol.
  3. I don't have a list. I did look up most of the omnibus' and found several that sold for more than the cover price. Not sure what I'm going to do with those as I haven't sold on-line in a long time. Just haven't had the time to do so, but maybe I will with these.
  4. Interesting. Reason for the questions is I just purchased a personal collection of Omnibus, Archives, Masterworks, and hardcover trades. All are still shrink wrapped 27 Mag boxes of stuff, no dup's. .
  5. How do you know if you have a variant or 1st ed etc when the book is still shrink wrapped?
  6. And for some stupid reason I didn't get the suitcase from him! Or at least got a picture of the books in the suitcase!
  7. Unfortunately I didn't. I do know he got them all in Chicago. He was a Marine, retired as a Captain. He was an old salt that didn't do a lot of talking.
  8. The Charlie Chan #1 was a weird one for the year and for it not matching the theme of superhero's.
  9. They never actually talked to her as a segment. They just showed her waiting to talk to someone with the books laid out. So I don't know what they told her. It's certainly a wonderful thing to find a run of Batman's from 3-29 straight and Superman 3-16 missing only #11. The other books aren't too bad either!
  10. He told me he Thought he had owned the Superman #1 at one time but over the years it disappeared. He had never sold any of the books. You can see he concentrated on just a few runs. Too bad he didn't get the Actions and Detectives also........ Most of the books were in decent shape. Oldest ones were around the 3.0 mark then gradually went up in grade. No pieces/chuncks missing which was great, just technical things bringing the grades down. Only one WF was missing pages with loose pages also. Paper was really nice on all books. Light cream to off-white with most being in the off-white area.
  11. No BIG keys to speak of. Missing the Batman,Superman and Worlds Finest issues #1 and #2. Did have the All-Flash #1 and Pep Comics #1
  12. 8 years ago a friend contacted me and said he just saw on TV a local station broadcasted a show similar to The Antique Road Show. On the show a Woman had a stack of Golden Age Comics. I immediately contacted the TV station and they put me in contact with the Interviewer on the show. She says she didn't get a name from the woman with the comics. No contact info. Argh, what to do?? So I took a long shot. I ran an add in the local newspaper asking if the person in the show with the comics would contact me. So I waited....... Several days went by and I got a phone call. A Man said that it was his wife and his childhood comic collection and he didn't know she was going to that event! So after talking for a bit he agreed to me coming to see the collection. It was 5 hours away but I hopped in the car and headed that way. The comics were in an old suitcase and most where in freezer zip lock bags. He wasn't eager to sell and my offer was too low to persuade him to change his mind. Fast forward 8 years to two weeks ago. I was going to be in the area visiting said friend from before. What the heck, I'll give the guy another call. Sure, come on by he says. Comics were still in the suitcase! Guess the time was right and of course my offer was higher this time. I got the collection! 76 books total. Here they are, hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I have. First thing I did was put them in two regular mag boxes to carry home. Then I took them out of the zip lock bags.
