  1. Sonic Disruptors The New Guardians, especially Extrano Arm Fall Off Boy The Mad Mod
  2. After the success of The Boys, it’s not hard to see DC using the Section 8 team sometime. Also, a bit weird like Doom Patrol.
  3. Yup. They should do a Section 8 team. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_8_(comics)
  4. Nice to read some down-to-Earth comments like these for a change.
  5. Marvel character, Kav. Ruby Thursday. Along with Hellcow, Dr Bong and The Spanker, created by one of my favourite writers, Steve Gerber.
  6. Field of Dreams was quite good, although it had less super-hero action than the Tim Burton film and was a bit weepy for my tastes.
  7. Better than the Madripoor Dragon from Avengers World.
  8. I always thought it was just me that appreciated the brilliance of this terribly underrated character. The thread shows I'm not alone here. Perhaps I shouldn't say that, though, as it might create interest and demand. At least I'm protected by having a NM raw copy.
  9. Possible he might appear during the next Phase of Marvel movies as he's a key cosmic character. I hope so, he's one of my favourites. Alternatively, it could be Phylla-Vell from the Guardians of the Galaxy, for example, if they adapt Annihilation.
  10. A bit too Uncanny Valley for me, this one. A puppet holding some sharp scissors dangerously close to the kid's neck.
  11. It's all old stuff that I've found strange or amusing down the years. I've been reading comics for over four decades. Covid restrictions have been relaxed here today, and I've also been waiting in, twiddling my thumbs waiting for a call back on some building work I'm having done on the house, so at least I've been occupying the time and my mind with something really, really constructive.
  12. The Spanker "Fred Hovel was wrenched from his position as the headmaster of a private school for excessive administration of corporal punishment. His desire to deliver discipline outweighing his sense of justice, he applied his passion for posterior paddling to criminal endeavor. Attracting the attention of Doctor Angst, he joined the Band of the Bland and shared in their first defeat at Shea Stadium by the Defenders."
  13. The upper face / head seems to be doing all the shouting, the lower seems to be passive. Other than that, I've nothing.
  14. Great story. I guessed wrongly that the punchline would end up being Jerry Robinson.
  15. Lots of 25p boxes in the U.K. back in the late 80s / early 90s, often with some decent Bronze Age.
  16. It turned a Civil War into a super-hero Civil Minor Altercation.
