  1. They do have a month or even two months in between fights to do some stitching. Unless the book’s out bi-weekly, as happened a lot back in the 90s.
  2. Dustin Weaver’s actually a very good artist, but, for me, this isn’t a good design at all.
  3. I don’t like the eyes or the mask / helmet. Too much like an android / robot version without the usual webbing effect.
  4. Look forward to a PM from you whenever you’re ready, Jimmers.
  5. It’d be an instantaneous F-bomb from me.
  6. Very similar here in the north of England. Not just rush hour but for most of the day. Two carriages with little if any adjustment for demand. Pre-Covid, of course.
  7. Digital works best on a larger size tablet such as the iPad Pro. The Masterworks sale on Kindle / Comixology was much better than last year's, which seemed more limited and had a lot of Atlas era material for 69p / $1 rather than classic Silver Age. This year I was lucky and got most of my Image Comics reading wants list filled in by way of two Humble Bundles, after buying my priority material in cheap Comixology sales. Some duplicates, but I found around 80 / 90 and 60 / 70 quality trade paperbacks in the bundles, 140 digital books for a total of £50, which wouldn't even buy me an open return train ticket to London for a comic convention. Hope everyone here had a great Christmas, and best for the New Year.
  8. The first photo is from ‘In His Image’, Twilight Zone Season 4, but the second is Harlan Ellison’s classic ‘Demon With a Glass Hand’ from season 2 of ‘The Outer Limits’. Pretty much exactly the same idea, though. Fair point.
  9. That one’s a little less extreme than the heartwarming EC Vault of Horror 35 cover I posted in the SOTI thread last night.
  10. In my case, no chance. I'll make a better effort next year. Thanks to everyone who participated. I've found myself getting deeper into thinking about the stories and artwork since I started reading digitally and then also going back through my older collected editions, and it's nice to see others appreciate this material in a pure form, regardless of chosen format, detached from the commercial obsession seen elsewhere here on the boards. All the best for Christmas, the holidays and the New Year.
  11. Didn't take that much of a vengeance motivation to turn the mild-mannered medic into a cross between The Spirit and The Punisher, to judge from his appearance and attitude. Doc Doolittle to Doc Killmore.
  12. Also one of the most Canadian comics I’ve ever seen.
  13. Impossible. You were guaranteed to get bombarded with smut. At least there’s some new material, not just copying over from Kav’s thread.
  14. What's that from, Larry? It reminds me of "Midnight Mess" from EC horror, especially panel 2.
  15. That seems more like what reading and collecting would've been like here in the UK in the 60s, when Marvel Comics were imported more or less fully, before we had numerous stops-and-starts to the distribution from the mid-70s onwards. Very interesting video.
  16. Despite Covid, I suspect that we will be having a happier and a safer holiday than was depicted here...
  17. A happy and a safe Xmas holiday !
  18. Plenty of stuff here that he wouldn't have been too happy with.
  19. Nice cat. Both friendly and a bit shadowy and ominous.
  20. Recalling Jimmers’ Dutch side of his family, at times I jokingly read it with a Germanic pronunciation. Same effect.
  21. That’s what I was thinking. Surely they could’ve taken it one step further. Very sloppy.
  22. I prefer the previous single colour single row arrangement, as the header icons are now split up into 2 lines on my phone. Slightly confusing as it’s reminding me more of the previous ‘sign in’ display when I’m active.
