I don't think he does colors any more, Last I heard $500 for sketch with colors. Then CGC on top of that. The only way to get one is by meeting him at a con.

I just heard from Nei Ruffino, she's currently planning on attending both C2E2 and SDCC.

I've been lucky with artists so far, however I've never dealt with Ale Garza. In most cases I've either not paid anything upfront or paid a small non-refundable deposit, 10-15%. A small non-refundable deposit shows the artist you are serious, but also lets the artist realize they have to finish the work if they want the rest. In the event of paying nothing upfront the artist knows it's entirely up to them to deliver, and if the client gets tired of waiting, they can sell the completed piece with no guilt. For artists I dealt with successfully multiple times in the past, I don't mind paying upfront.

A huge thx to Dre for this beauty, my first quad signed CGC SS. I picked it up from one of his always amazing sales thread. He was only advertising Mike Debalfo on the book as CGC SS. I PM'd him to see if he'd be able to also add Mary Debalfo. Not only did he add her, he also added Tom Hutchinson and Nei Ruffino
