Because the first two interior leaves are also involved, I could see this coming back from Sarasota as a 2.0 GD.

Ya, who knows what CGC will do! Ive seen CGC 2.5 with 2-3" chunks missing on the cover :whatthe: at least nothing is missing here and presents well :nyah:

Threw it up on the sales thread, will see how it does, need some slabbing money for other funny books in the vault :cloud9:

  2. Fantastic Four 48 2.5/3.0 ish.

Grade per "PGM forum" consensus :

4" tear thru Cover, first and second page. (bottom center)

Also book has only one bottom staple, no top staple or staple holes (production error)

Asking  $1200 OBO shipped in the US

    :takeit: trumps all PM's!

    PP, check or MO

10 day return on you unless I missed something obvious.

    CGC 2.5 Last sale 8/21 $1450

    CGC 3.0 Last Sale 8/21 $2100

  3. Looking at the first three pictures I though I was looking at a NM copy of one of my favorite SA key books! Still wondering how those staples got so rusty on a NM looking copy.

Deductions for rusty and migrating staples on a otherwise very high grade SA key comic should be interesting, I'm guessing 4.5 but hoping CGC will go 5.0 in this case.

Thanks @comicginger1789 I appreciate it.   I am still trying to learn the difference between say a 3.0 and 3.5 thus my question.  I wasn't sure if that tear vs staple pull changed it from a 3.0 to 3.5  or not.  I am trying to guess the grade too when I post and I was above a 3.0 in my guess (just above )  thus wanted to see if that is where I went astray.   Thanks again, I really appreciate your and everyone's insight on this board.

May not be to CGC standards, but has helped me to grade fairly accurately:)
