  1. Based on the fact that it was free with my HBO subscription (through Crave TV in Canada) right away, I do not think it made a lot via streaming. This is where studios are stuck, to be honest. The need to keep adding new content to retain subcribers right now appears to be more important than extending the box office through streaming. Personally, I think they are better off making it free right away to keep subscribers as the monthly recurring revenue from 76.8M subscribers for even one month >>>>>> than adding another $10-$20M from streaming purchases for your top comic property movie.
  2. And watch him talk about a huge rebound WoW next Sunday.
  3. Have not seen Doc 2 yet (going later this week), but agree 100%. WB/DC really needs to rethink its approach to Batman and Superman. The current approach is losing market share.
  4. Come and join the fun at the next Edmonton Collector Con on June 12, 2022. We (500club/thehumantorch/artboy99/me) will have a ton of new stuff for the show after a bunch of buying and CGC submissions coming in. http://edtoyshow.com/
  5. Looking forward to the Edmonton Expo. If I can make a guest suggestion, the Trailer Park Boys cast would be great to have at the show.
  6. And, it makes me kick myself for passing on so many low to mid grade #423 CAD newsstand copies over the year. They are not that hard to find in general, they are just hard to find in high grade.
  7. Another big creator loss. My condolences to his family. Rest in Peace, George.
  8. Wow. We had people in our group, not to mention the boardies' names, fall asleep during BW.
  9. Wow. Will it cross $400M opening weekend?
  10. Thanks. This thread will be open until tomorrow night, and then the books will be off to greener pastures.
  11. It is not showing now from a quick search of Batman #423 CGC 8.5 so we have an answer. That being said, it has been considered a classic cover for a while now and will continue to run in price as a result. What is more impressive to me is the CGC 5.0 Canadian newsstand copy that fetched $450 in February. Looks like it is worthwhile subbing the mid grade CAD copies I have kicking around as well.
  12. It will look similar to the people who paid $11-$12K for Marvel Super-Heroes #13 (1st Carol Danvers) in the run up to the Captain Marvel movie. They are now down to the mid $3Ks.
  13. It looks like now the bet is on the content of the books. The Han Solo 1s may have some potential due to the 1st apps. Not sure about the others.
