  1. The XMen 94 price action makes sense in comparison to GSX 1. Right now $1500 gets you a 1.5 GSX 1, and 0.5 with back cover missing is $1000. Soon we will likely see completely coverless GSX 1s starting at $1000.
  2. Looks like Dark Horse must have been using the same printer back then that Marvel uses now.............
  3. I could not believe they let that get through back in the day when it came out.
  4. According to some listings, Ultimates #1 (2015) is the first appearance of Aneka and Ayo. No clue who they are, but I will take the $$$$.
  5. Agreed. And, with some stuff, it seems like he has 2 issues worth of material that he tries to stretch out over 5 to 6 issues. Hence the disappointment at the end.
  6. Right now I would say he is getting there. Cates is overrated IMHO as he tends to end his arcs on a whimper, like Johns did at DC during his peak. Build up and then disappoint at the end. Tynion is building better from one arc to the next right now.
  7. So Cates has done it again. First he killed Thor market with Black Winter going out with a whimper, and now possibly Venom as well.
  8. It depends. I have done well with either approach on Spawns in the past. For the top issues, you can get crazy prices with auctions that exceed BIN/Fixed Price expectations.
  9. I ended up sending 100 books to PGX during that time since the price gap was not that bad between CGC and PGX back then, and the 45 TAT was much better. In the end, the PGX books looked undergraded to me. I sent in the ones that did not sell right away and got a nice grade bump without pressing at CGC. I know that was a lottery ticket type PGX experience, and I have a list of the serial numbers on those books from 12-15 years ago that I still check on eBay from time to time.
  10. There is a simple solution to this - all of you need to stop submitting (especially Greggy) so my books/cards can have faster turnaround times...............
  11. At one point way back in the 00s, it was close to 8 months for regular service for a short while if I recall correctly.
  12. Looks like XMen 94 in 9.4 could be $10K by the summer.
  13. Here is in update Received Items Service Status 2/23/2021 25 FAST TRACK VALUE Finalized / Imaged / Shipped as of 3/29/21 = 24 working days so on time again 1/22/2021 24 MODERN Finalized / Imaged / Shipped as of 3/25/21 = 43 working days so on time for when they went in 1/20/2021 25 VALUE Received (I should have done Fast Track ) Getting close to starting as it was 53 days when the books were marked as received
  14. With the current run up in prices across the board, I expect that TATs will continue to lengthen, unfortunately.................
  15. That would be fine with me, as that would put 9.4 W at $20Kish, and drag XMen 94 9.4 up to $10K range as well.
  16. No. Just kidding. I actually think that there should be a separate FOOM thread in the BA section. There are enough interesting issues that it should have a thread of its own. If a Marvel Previews with Miles Morales can hit $9500 in 9.8, what should the first Wolverine or new X-Men in FOOM fetch?
  17. Late March. The smart thing I did is toss the funds I had set aside into the market after missing out on the GSX 1. That happened to be the week of March 23rd, which was the bottom of the correction. So far it has been a wash as the gains in the investment have been the same as in GSX 1 9.8. However, it looks like stock markets are dropping and GSX 1 is still running so that may change.
  18. Agreed. At this point, I can see it and Hulk #181 clearing that hurdle by end of next year.
