  1. A big part of that is due to stores not going big on the first print orders. I was expecting 200,000 - 250,000 print run since the book has been telegraphed and solicited since early 2020. Looking at the current state of new issue orders, 100,000ish is more realistic excluding the store variants. That is a far cry from the 2015 SW 1, which was over 900,000 in January 2015 according to Comichron
  2. Not sure if you can still pre-order them anywhere, but I know there are several of us that will have them available after release..........
  3. Prices have been rising on this title over the year, which is definitely nice to see.
  4. I thought that you can press cards as well? Micro trimming is definitely the bigger issue with cards. As far as comics, that is definitely the big question re: top AC 1 and Tec 27 copies. That being said, paintings are restored/cleaned on a regular basis to maintain them which does not diminish the value. I think longer term the comic collecting community will come to view dry cleaning and pressing the same.
  5. There are plenty of rumors about it, but who knows. Right now that is still the highest graded copy, right?
  6. MJ is the only one that could do it, based on global recognition and his ability to stay in the spotlight with Nike and well timed marketing plays (e.g. Last Dance), err...."documentaries". I think as soccer becomes more popular in the USA those key RCs will run up the most. Just not Messi since you have to actually win an international competition to be in the GOAT discussion.
  7. If FF 1 or AF 15 were GA books, it would be a different story.
  8. Early SA X-Men keys and issues under #20 are still relatively cheap across all grades compared to other titles, even after doing a 2-3X run up the past couple of years. There is still time to load up.
  9. Maybe I am mistaken, but I think the only GA mega keys that will top T206 are Action 1 and Tec 27. The Timely keys are important books, but are far less significant from a new character perspective which hurts their value. That applies to Batman 1 and Superman 1 as well. I am curious to over time see if another sport's top rookie card can surpass T206 as far as value goes since the popularity of baseball is in a decline. From a global popularity perspective, I think it could be a soccer or basketball card that eventually tops it.
  10. I would like to see what the top Action 1 or Tec 27 would do in an auction vs the top T206 (the old PSA 8 that Gretzky and McNall owned at one point). I would think that the Church Action 1 would top the T206 if it is completely unrestored/altered, but maybe not Tec 27.
  11. https://www.keycollectorcomics.com/series/x-men,6999/ Check out the other X-titles as well. There are a ton of 1st apps to chase. And, looking at recent price action, grab HG copies of the keys between 95-142. There are a bunch of sleeping 1st apps that may be ready to wake up.
  12. So, at this point, it may be a shorter list of characters from across the MCU/Spider-verse who are not appearing in the movie than those that actually are?
  13. However, based on pricing, it looks like the market has decided that it is: Batman & Robin Adventures Annual #1 (1996)
  14. As expected in this market. Buy on rumor sell on news. That just leaves ST 110 as the last Marvel SA hero 1st appearance to pop.
  15. Well, looks like that is all for this FS thread. Thanks for the purchases. I will be sending out the remaining invoices tonight.
  16. Daredevil is cheap, as is the Avengers. I guess you can lump Strange Tales into that mix as well. FWIW, look at the prices on mid grade ASMs between 51-80 or so now. You can still find plenty of FN to VF- copies in the $40-50 range that are now going for $100+ graded.
  17. https://www.keycollectorcomics.com/series/x-men,6999/ Check out the other X-titles as well. There are a ton of 1st apps to chase.
  18. Some of us did that with both FF and X-Men, buying as much as we could afford. I agree there is definitely still room to grow for both, and that X-Men has further to grow due to it starting from so low. Right now the area to focus on is the dirt cheap 1st apps from 144 and up, and across all of the X-titles. There are a few long boxes worth of mutants to chase there.
  19. The time to do that for both FF and X-Men was late last year/early this year when the Disney - 20th Century Fox deal was finalized. There is still some room now, but the prices have jumped quite a bit since then.
  20. There will be a rotation into DC keys since the Marvel keys have jumped. It may be starting now.
