  1. This thread validates my longstanding belief that the majority of Archie fans from all eras are a bunch of horndawgs lol lol

The recently launched Clink auction has a bunch of early Archies and a Pep, looks like. Have at 'em gang !

I'm in an Archie group on FB, and someone was talking about how upset they were that Archie and Grundy were hooking up. So I casually mentioned that Archie and Grundy has hooked up in a Tijuana Bible waaaaay back when, and even though it's not an official Archie title...it's still a thing.

  2. So I saw the trailer.

My one deepest wish is that whatever I wrote in the 2016 Overstreet Price Guide is somewhat true and certain books go up in value. I feel like it would validate my article.

Also Archie is hot and now I get why Betty and Veronica fight over him.

  3. I was sad to give up my 4.0, but couldn't pass this one up. It's a beautiful copy.

Yeah well, I hope you're not losing any sleep. Don't get me wrong, the hoarder in me would like to own a dozen copies in varying grades, but I would have traded a 4.0 for a 6.5 in a heartbeat. I'm just shocked you'd actually consider putting your 22 on the block. You'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands.

I'm going to be selling both of them so I can outright buy a house on the Eastern Shore. Then with any leftover/saved money I have I'll be buying lower grades of both books.

    That's crazy talk :insane:

Gentleman, by now you should both surely know that I am indeed a mad woman! Mad, I say!

    :insane:

Don't count or real estate increasing in value. :insane:

Hah! That's pretty true, but I don't want to rent a place, I want to outright buy a home and you know...be an adult! lol

Adults mortgage their home at a good rate and write off the interest. Adults realize that buying a home outright is nothing but one big liability. And most of all ADULTS DON'T GET RID OF THEIR COMIC BOOKS! :sumo:

I'm going to be a crazy adult and take my darn adult chances! VIVA LA ADULTING.

  7. Cards, Comics and Collectibles is my LCS. He has a little bit of everything, and the shop is awesome. It has an old school feel.

Alternate Worlds, Collectors Corner, Gorilla King, are all in/around Baltimore as well and they are all good. Third Eye in Annapolis is also great, it's worth the 45ish minute drive. Also the Westminster Antique Mall has a dealer inside that sells older comics. The prices are hit or miss but I've found good stuff there.

Also check out Geppi's Entertainment Museum while you're here!

  8. Highlights:

    - Introducing Venom into the universe of the TV show.

    - Bruce showing signs of the "World's Greatest Detective" in him.

    - Catwoman doing Catwoman things. Pickpocketing people and moving like, well, Catwoman.

    - Bruce getting the f out of the house.

    - Alfred seemingly accepting that Bruce has changed and starting to help Bruce in his endeavors.

    lol

This week's episode was great. I still can't stand Fish and I want her to go. Glad to see there was more than 2 minutes of the Riddler on this week's episode. That guy is great and I demand more of him. More I say!

  9. Jada chews up too much scenery for me. I cringe when she's acting up.

She is by far the worst part of the show. I can't tell if she's intentionally trying to be like Eartha Kitt's Catwoman (seriously, I can't be the only one who see's this..) or if she has no idea what to do in the role. I have a feeling her character is going to die though.

The Penguin is great. I wish we could get more Riddler though. All in all I'm enjoying the show.
