Gotham Premiere Episode: First Early Reviews Are Positive
Last night, Fox held the first press screenings for the premiere episode of the new Gotham TV series, which features James Gordon and a young Bruce Wayne before he became Batman.
After the screenings in New York and LA, the first short reviews of the episode started to hit Twitter, and they appear to be extremely positive.
I can't wait to see it!

I saw the movie last night.
I won't give away any spoilers, but you should all see this movie.

I didn't enjoy the movie at all, and usually I'm pretty into comic films. The chemistry between Peter, Gwen and Aunt May was very real and very touching. But there was so much that I felt fell flat on it's face, namely the villains. Electro started off great, but as soon as he was fighting Spidey in Times Square it went downhill fast. Oh, and he kind of reminded me of Dr. Manhattan in certain scenes.
And whomever played Harry is an awful actor.

I actually don't know enough about Archie. I've only read a few digests. Anyone have any resource to some really great issues to read? There's a lot of characters I don't feel I know enough about for example Cheryl/Jason.
You can easily find the Cheryl Blossom mini series that was released in the 90's on eBay. She's like Veronica but meaner/has a brother/has red hair.

They changed from a 4 week schedule to a 6 week schedule a few issues back.

Looks like issue #5 is supposed to come out on April 16th
Not soon enough.
Issue 4 felt a little slow to me (although it was sad) so hopefully it'll pick back up in issue 5.
Plus, I want more Cheryl/Jason. I know whatever is going on with them is totally taboo but I'm completely in love with that angle.

Got this for a good price! I love these books, may have to start collecting them.

I'd say it's a solid 7.0/7.5 (I feel the lower left corner may bump it back), beautiful copy!

Archie 1- Classic
Archie 5- I'm a sucker for anything Halloween!
Archie 18- Again, Halloween.
Archie 20- Jughead's lack of giving a hoot is my favorite part.
Archie 50- Again, classic.

This is the legendary "headlights" issue featuring art of Betty that in 1951 was considered scandalous enough that many copies of this issue had the cover torn off.
Never heard that claim before. Is this urban legend, or did it actually happen?
It really happened.

Crimebuster was my backup raffle Santa, and he pulled through with amazing results!
I've always loved Rex W. Lindsay. Jughead (as many of you know) is my favorite Archie character. When I opened the package I was floored, and for good reason! I love it, I'm even getting it framed!

Archie 1-10 club? I would totes be in that!
50 however I don't have because my ex has it. Jerk.

And I suppose we have to mention, The Thundermans
The show on Nick? I didn't know it was based on a comic book.

What about the WW pilot from a few years back?

Oh my God, I'm crying tears of joy from that. Thank you Bosco, that made my day! (I looooove Buck Rogers, this is fantastic.)
Archie:To Riverdale and Back Again Movie
I'm fairly certain I can recite that line by line. I got it on VHS as a child..and naturally fell in love with it.

Such beautiful pre Archie books!
Though I can't imagine having an Archieless MLJ collection. I never even thought that was possible! (I know it is, MLJ has a wide variety of non Archie titles.)
Thanks, Lauren!
BTW, have you ever noticed that Archie and The Shield have exactly the same hair color? >
Have you ever wondered ...?! >
Maybe the Shield moonlights as America's typical teenager!

I find the early Peanuts designs to be utterly adorable and charming. Great collection!

This thread has been slowly sinking into the depths of the forum … but I'm pretty sure we're all still buying MLJs. How about some scans of recent acquisitions? I'll start …
Picked this up last Thursday on eBay for $125. Pages are cream with some light tanning on the edges, back cover has a weird tear at the bottom and some stain on the edge, but the cover is attached and the book presents really well. I'm pleased with the purchase!
If this thread needs a little more [font:Comic Sans MS]PEP maybe this'll help. Not all recent, mind you, but here's my part of MLJ saga thus far.
Acquired last summer in San Diego, here's a real nice copy of [font:Comic Sans MS]PEP #1 courtesy of my buddy Sir Richard of Bedrock (thank you, sir) ...
My MLJ collection is pretty much all pre-[font:Comic Sans MS]Archie. Here are the rest of my [font:Comic Sans MS]PEPs (pulled together over the past four or five years)...
To top things off, a couple of sweet [font:Century Gothic]Church copies: [font:Comic Sans MS]SHIELD-WIZARD #7 (uncredited Kirby cover) & #27 (first Spidey, The Web)...
[font:Comic Sans MS]Whew! >>> Budduh-buddah-buddah, That's All Folks!
