I can't get as excited for Superman as some other comics, but never the less, here's my contribution to the thread:

I was so very excited for this comic, I love it so much!

I'm ambivalent regarding manga, but I love Adam Hughes' artwork, (AH!).

 

This has been one of my grails ever since I first saw it.

 

It's fairly uncommon: popping up on ebay around 3-5 times a year, it would seem.

This weekend I may do a group shot of all of my Spidey's together, but this is by far my obvious favorite...

I was holding off, playing hard to get, but now that I've seen that #1....will you and your comics marry me? We can merge our books and have lots of babys.

 

Mmm, tempting, since you have one helluva collection!

 

If it's just comics you want, marry me, divorce me and take 'em all in the settlement. Move on to Bangzoom to pick up a nice GA collection and repeat. The amazing thing is I don't even think we will mind, a short time with a nice gal like you would be worth it.

I'm not reading all 10 pages of this. Did he ever tell us who the expert grader was?

 

And dude, let me tell you. I had an Archie #3 that was originally graded at a 5.0 by CGC, cracked out, and re-submitted when I got ahold of it back in September. The book came back at a 1.8. Sure, it was a shock and I felt like I just had my teeth knocked out, but I trust CGC's grading system.

 

Why the huuuuge disparity? That makes me question CGC more than the first guy who seems to have sour grapes. . .

 

 

Sounds like it may have been out of the slab for some time before re-submitting?

I was in an antique mall this weekend, and I saw a Buster Brown comic from around the same time, but it was in far worse shape, and it was also a few hundred dollars more then by M&J. Had it been under $100 I probably would have bought it, but...

Don't know where this exactly belongs since it's a platinum comic, but I'm still over joyed that I got it. (Mutt and Jeff #1 from 1920).

I love this cover! The colors are crisp and vibrant, the expression on the woman's face is perfect...Gah, I just love this cover!!

That Batman #20 is one of my favorit issues. I'm also currently digging my dad's Captain Marvel comics:

GA Batman, Superman, Captain Marvel, Archie....I love them all!
