  1. Well,I know my connections not good enough to win and I've scored on 'killers sales in the past so I'll just drop in and say hey Mister B. Still loving those books, even more eight years later Remember when you could hold a thread, back in the dawn of time-and I could even take the time to send lowballs? Sigh...glory days PS if all others fall through,I'll take that JLA....just saying. Will you ship to Canada at no extra on that if?
  2. Are we bugging shad too? I saw tesla. I like Bill, don't bust on him too bad
  3. porcupine48

    I am so great

I found it because ummmm HOT DOGS 🌭
  4. If you're confused...I know we've had a pm before,I just don't wanna look through the lil scroll bar forever. Like I have a journal here, but hell if I can find it
  5. I think I should get my old score added on harrumph.
  6. Aw,just when we were having a good chat, felt like the moulden days! I was looking for our old PM but the new format...so hard to find old pm's...I have 420 of them though so no one send me new ones! Damn...420-12 years is a long time.More than a few dead people in those pm's.
  7. Oh to have seen Tyson live in his prime...or live one days in his shoes when not in prison(or the day he pulled the stuff that got him there). That guy's led a pretty incredible life.
  8. Can't blame ourselves for what we did in our salad days, young, dumb and full of... I should have kept up boxing-at the very least I might've got paid for some of my fighting or flipside, could be permapunchdrunk!
  9. I always used to get run over on the street on purpose because the splatting really upset my kid sister
  10. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Well,I do wear patchouli, mostly because my friends hate it and I'm mostly pretty relaxed. I'll take that as an I'm an excellent time compliment.Never got deep into the tunes or Phish lifestyle. When I was a streetkid I DID shack up with an older gal that used to follow the Dead around for years, maybe she rubbed off on me.
  11. This is now a what game is that?Oh Skate or Die,cool! thread And Wacky Packs and Madballs(that had a pretty boom comic tbh)
  12. I still have that one!It was tough! Not tough like beating Friday the 13th tough, but still a bit difficult. That makes me want to dig out my Ocean Pacific shirts and get out the Powel Natas boards
  13. I want to know what NES game that is. And those don't look like Bicycle playing cards mister!
  14. Some stuff I'm mad I replaced.Like ten years back I found a few bags of first run GIJoes, for nada.Proudly displayed them on a shelf until the damn O rings went out and I'd find Cobra Commander or Bludd drawn and quartered. So mad they're all in an old World Famous canvass bag, dint even reassemble.Boxes and boxes of G1Transformers. I was lucky I got nostalgic mid twenties or had the money to get the toys we were too poor to get. Not surprising everything's going up.Things go in cycles and folks ours and @Buzzetta's age are now getting close to mid life and feeling more nostalgic than ever. Most settled down, not partying as hard and have some extra income.Even millenials are pushing stuff up I guess with Pokemon and things-I guess Magic's always been crazy Buzz, since I tagged you,I'm too lazy and involved here to find the Lego thread.Check what I got outta one of those free book boxes a week or so ago
  15. You could hold the packs side by side and feel the extra card width with your finger. Sadly, most of those I DID trade into the local pcp/acid dealer. They got scratched really easy anyway, even in top loaders.
  16. I forgot about Wacky Packs and GPK.Those are on comic love level here, there's a few shoeboxes of complete sets hanging around.Even have some fridge magnets and a tee shirt. Those I don't even think of as cards! I keep my old punk band stickers, pins and oddballsticker stuff with those in a steamer.I'd like to add some Madballs but they are hella pricey
  17. And really,if you've never tried it,going into a fistfight nekkid gives you a strong advantage.Really freaks folk out, especially if you scream and punch your own junque. True story.
  18. After holding them for thirty five plus years I don't think I'm ready I seriously have superbad ....but what ifs......about letting stuff go. Not hoarders bad,but seeing a comic, toy or book or cards leave even feels me with angst! Also makes me wonder-how many folk were like us and kept em or how many just dump dump dumped that era stuff in trash or goodwill.A few years back you couldn't walk in a Canadian Value Village and not see bags and bags and bags of eighties/nineties hockey or baseball cards.Score,Upper Deck, whatever. I did buy a set of the mid 90's McDonalds cards I saw in binders as nostalgia(my gramps loved em) but usually was like ughhhhhh carpcards! Guess with the hype that doesn't happen anymore.
  19. I still have sleeves and sleeves of drkky Upper Deck and not so bad O Pee Chee. I heard my first og Marvel cards are picking up steam though. (I worked at a shop in middle school)
  20. I'm watching people fight in the comic book shares thread. But peeps are saying cards have never been nutso before? Hell, were they not around or remember the late eighties, early nineties before comics and cards went bust? Honus Wagner sold for bucks,Gretzky and John Candy got involved and things were tres craycray. Comic and card shops everywhere and card shows in halls like three days a week.
  21. Ooh!Like a Frito pie style?Sounds good..or more like traditional tortierre, meat pie?Anyways,I hope pickles and mustard were involved,at least on the side. Now I wanna look up if there's such thing as caraway rye pie crust...
