  1. So which do you think is more valuable: submit to the CC signature series and get a yellow/green label with a mention of some writing inside or submit to CBCS and potentially get a yellow label for a verified Byrne signature forgoing the Claremont signature. I already have a dozen other books in similar condition I am considering submitting for the CC signature (including a better condition #121).
  2. Do you have to do anything special on the submission to denote this request? Also, which would be better to submit to the CC SS: this one or X-Men #121 (1st full appearance of Alpha Flight) in even better condition (9.4-9.6 in my estimation) or both? Also, is anyone familiar with how CBCS would handle the interior signature? Would they verify it and slap a yellow label on it?
  3. Would you submit it? (big fan of all "Things" myself, Man, Swamp and otherwise).
  4. Another non-key (unless you are a huge Man-thing fan) I'm on the fence about submitting. Looks mid-grade at best, but thought I'd get everyone's opinion. Here are the scans (I'll skip the 15 minute video this time):
  5. I have been working through my run of X-Men and came across a John Byrne signature on the first interior page of my X-Men #120 (1st cameo of Alpha Flight). I was considering submitting this for the Chris Claremont signature series but wondering how this interior writing might affect the grade. Does anyone know and if so, would it be better to submit to CBCS for signature verification. I did not have this book personally signed -- I didn't even know the signature was there until I went to grade it -- but it looks legit. Here are the scans and a photo of the interior page:
  6. Have an offer on this as raw but wondering if the condition (which appears to be quite good) warrants a grading. Thoughts? Only have scans:
  7. Grade is in: 8.5. I personally thought this was more in the 9.0-9.2 range, but I think the soiling on the back (which I should have been better about cleaning up) may have hurt it and I'm not sure how the slight color fade at the top of the cover also counted against. Unfortunately there aren't any grader notes (anything below 9.8 really should offer some note and definitely anything below 9.0). This was one of my first submissions and an early book with with my C&P techniques so I'm somewhat tempted to CPR it, but not sure I can bump the grade significantly. Probably not worth the effort.
  8. This is a rough one (definitely the roughest in my collection -- the staining was there before I picked it up for free in the early 80s). Probably not worth the submission, but thought I'd get everyone's opinion. Thanks for taking a look. Video run through: https://photos.app.goo.gl/aGc5eebsJh6HcxQP6 and the scans:
  9. Another non-key economy submission I'm on the fence about sending in. It cleaned up a bit with a C&P but the color breaking crease on the bottom front cover is a bit of a downer. Thoughts? Here's the video walk through: https://photos.app.goo.gl/oL2K7bNhN9TgHPA57 and the scans:
  10. Minor bindery issues with the noted slight miswrap on back and slightly forward staple position on front cover. One tiny discernable spine tick about 1/2" up from UPC box. 4-5 black color ticks along back cover spine -- not sure if those are bleed overs from the front cover or something else. I'd place it 9.2-9.4.
  11. Working my way through some older books I'm considering sending in for economy grading but on the fence since the conditions are a little suspect (and I have a hard time evaluating books with multiple flaws). Any feedback is appreciated. Here's the video walk through: https://photos.app.goo.gl/P78rcyWDWxnYfVUn9 and the hi-res scans:
  12. Yeah, that was my thinking as well. I'll most likely sell it raw. Thanks for the affirmation.
  13. Sorry about that. The videos are primarily for myself to be as thorough as possibe to document the book and I tend to meander through the flaws I find (I kill the audio on the shared video so no one has to hear me prattle on). Most of my books are around NM so the videos are usually half as long. This book had a lot of flaws so... Thanks for taking a look and offering your opinion.
  14. Trying to decide if a couple early Master of Kung Fu issues are worth sending in for economy grading. This is #18. Any feedback on condition would be appreciated. Here's a video run through: https://photos.app.goo.gl/kQNsvQHUoN33TgB68 Here are the scans:
  15. Hey everyone. Considering this as a signature candidate for the Chris Claremont SS but would love to have some additional input on its possible grade. Thanks for any an all feedback. Here's the video run through: https://photos.app.goo.gl/qrq1CgZ1Saw8xhuZA And the scans:
  16. Always have a tough time assessing these square bounds. Any an all feedback would be greatly appreciated! Here's the video run through: https://photos.app.goo.gl/2LDrji1zhQx6Eq566 and the scans:
  17. Need a little help with my Wolverine Limited Series issue #4. Trying to determine if it is worth having it graded given the odd cut of the book. Any experience here with a similarly cut book and what grade to expect? Here's a video run through: https://photos.app.goo.gl/57xwVfVsD7DFv8UH7 and my scans:
  18. Hello all! Relatively new here and trying to get a read on my X-Men #106. Any and all feedback would be most appreciated. Here is a link to a video run through: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ShwGbq3uw4oZPJEz8 and scans of the front and back:
