I've never seen the ComicCollectors.net catalog before. I'll have to start looking for it on ebay. I bid in most of these auctions but was almost always outbid. I couldn't believe the crazy prices on the precode books. The only one I recall winning anything was the Executive Collectibles 1996 auction featuring the Aurora collection. I won several lots and still have Journey Into Fear 5 and 8.

Picked up 2 more Cole covers from Clink. The STT5 is my favorite Cole Star cover. Only 3 more Terrors of the Jungle to go.

Blue Bolt Saved the best for last. Several classic sci fi and horror covers. Only need 104,117 and 118 to complete the run. Been over a year since my last purchase. The cover on 109 is by Wolverton. Hey Vaultkeeper, wanna sell me your 118

Terrors of the Jungle Was the underbidder on a 9.2 19 and 9.4 21 recently on Clink. Would rather find them in 8.0 to 9.0.

Terrifying Tales Somebody sell me a 8.0 #15 so I can complete this run.

Startling Terror Tales The 5 is my favorite Star cover. It's only 5.0 but it's the only graded copy I could find. Would love to upgrade. I also need to find an affordable 7.5/8.0 copy of 11.

Spook 30 is 1 of 4 Star covers not by Cole.

Shocking Mystery Cases 51 is a great cover and one of my top 10 Cole covers. Now I need a Suspense 9 to go with it. Taking a break now. Time for the Indiana - Iowa bb game. Go Hoosiers!

Ghostly Weird Stories + my newest acquisition, Horrors of Mystery 13 The Ghostly Weird's are impossible to find in high grade so I had to lower my standards a bit. Ghostly Weird 122 is one of Cole's best covers and is at the top of my wantlist.

The crime covers are probably my least favorite, with the obvious exception of Thrilling Crime Cases 49.

Western covers 4 title changes during the 11 issue run. Would love to find a high grade copy of White Rider 6.

Sports covers

Funny animal and Christmas covers. These are some of my favorite Cole covers, wish I could find more.

I finally figured out how to upload pics so here are some group shots of LB Cole's Star books. I've been aggressively collecting 7.5 and higher copies for the past 7 years and have only managed to find 69 books so far. I'll start off with romance covers. All Star comics are hard to find in 7.5 and higher but the romance books rarely turn up.

His signature is on the lower right corner below the shadow. . I can't find his signature anywhere on the Super-Mystery cover.

I'm not sure if the Super-Mystery is a Cole cover either, but it reminded me of another Ace comic not on the list. Four Favorites 13 Feb. 1944 possibly his 1st cover?

I agree that the covers only titles shouldn't be on the main list, but they are still very collectible. The Weird Jungle Tales cover sold for around $350 on Heritage several years ago and I would be willing to pay substantially more for it today.
