  1. Thanks for all the nice comments (thumbs u And don't get me wrong, the resto doesn't bother me a bit. I'm always happy to pay a fraction of the blue label price for a few dots of glue on the spine and centerfold! Here's a scan of the back cover with the rust: Given that it's already restored, I've toyed with the idea of having the staples replaced and the migration cleaned for preservation's sake. Thoughts on this?
  2. Way too cool of a thread to fall this far down the page list. Here's my only contribution. It's a shame about the minimal restoration and has some rust migration, but the book looks brand new in hand! Any other Adventures out there?
  3. This is from the Ebay listing. There were also pics of interior pages, some of which had margin notes I believe. The seller was popscomicbooks. If someone can track them down, they might still have the rest of the scans.
  4. Any guesses on the final price for this? http://comics.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Sale_No=7023&Lot_No=91238&Lot_Id_No=53002
  5. Welcome to the club (and the boards!) (thumbs u
  6. The Northland was a 9.4, which makes more sense. Actually, the price was a little low compared to GPA. I thought about it, considering my affinity for SA Pedigreed Keys, but I have my sights set elsewhere:
  7. Congrats! You are on a buying spree. Been buying for the last few years, but never got around to posting. I figure better late than never (thumbs u
  8. May I be the first to congratulate you sir!! Welcome to the Club and you have a one-of-a kind book there! No, thank you! I'd feel bad for you having to give it up, but I saw that you replaced it with a white paged AF15 . A tough trade no doubt, but a toss up at the very least!!!
  9. Terrible scan aside, here's my contribution. I have vivid memories as a child of seeing one up on the wall at the LCS and thinking it to be the ultimate, ungettable grail. And it was ultimately the book that brought me back to the hobby. It's not from C-Link as mentioned above, but from Ebay a few years back:
  10. While I've never really posted much before, I owe what little I know of the hobby to what I've gleaned from the discussions here on the boards. I figured that it was about time to start giving back. In particular, this thread opened the eyes of a previously die-hard marvelite to the joys of high-grade DC Silver. It took quite a while to find the right copy, but thanks to PeeWee22, mission accomplished! Without further ado (sorry for the crappy scan):
