Marge's Little Lulu #1 (1948) Fine- : $200 SOLD Very solid copy. The main defect is a small hole on the bottom left corner of the front cover with some color loss around it. I have included a picture from the inside to show you. My scanner seems to be unable to capture its true colors so I am including pictures from my iPhone instead of scans. -

Book looks 8.0/8.5 from the front cover but a tape stain on bc did downgrade to a 6.5. Now I wish I could find an AF 15 or Hulk 1 in similar condition with main defects on bc -

It’s interesting to see the color tone variations on the Thing for issue 51: either red, orange, yellow or pink. -

This one would be a presser's dream. Front cover looks flawless 9.4/9.6 but some stress lines on back cover that do not break colors did downgrade it to 9.0. Issue #2 is so hard to find in high grade. This is the pride of my ASM collection -
Not bought from Jason Ewert but who knows the past history of the books you buy as they may have travelled through different hands before reaching yours. Speaking of Jason Ewert, I know about the micro-trimming scandal he was involved with CGC books but was he also known for micro-trimming books before the creation of CGC?
