  1. All Star-Lord magazine appearances: $1,000 Grades are as follow: Marvel Preview #4: 9.2 (origin and 1st appearance) Marvel Preview #11: 9.2 (All Byrne art) Marvel Preview #14: 9.2 Marvel Preview #15: 9.2 Marvel Preview #18: 9.0/9.2 Marvel Comics Super Special #10: 9.6
  2. Marvel Preview #5 NM-/NM (and could be 9.8 if pressed) Marvel Preview #6 NM- (looks 9.8 but there are two tiny scratches on top and bottom of left edge of back cover, hardly visible on scan) Take both for $100
  3. Marvel Preview #1 NM: $110 Neal Adams cover/art. Killer copy
  4. Eerie #81 NM- : $100 Such a classic cover and lot of female nudity in this one. Looks NM+ but a small pen mark at top right of 1st page and what appear to be two faint finger marks on right edge explain the grade.
  5. Chamber of Chills #1 NM- Chamber of Chills #2 VF+ Looks better but a bit of rust on upper staple Chamber of Chills #3 VF/NM Chamber of Chills #4 NM- Take all four books for $300
  6. Thor #220 VF/NM: $30 NOW $25 Tough issue to find in high grade due to black cover
  7. Thor #176 VF+ : $35 NOW $30 Looks NM- but slight impact ding on upper left corner that barely breaks colors.
  8. Captain America #167 former CGC NM 9.4: $45 NOW $40 Along with #144 and #161, this is one of the toughest BA Cap to find in high grade (black cover, that is). I cracked this book in order to put it in my collection but found a better raw copy. I kept the label though and it will be included with the comic. In all honesty, I would rather grade this book as NM- 9.2. The book was graded in 2007, no grader notes unfortunately but it was not pressed.
  9. In all honesty, I must admit that I do understand a frenzy on high grade Silver and Bronze Charlton books, they are hard to find in high grade and still very cheap. I am still waiting for almost 15 years for somebody to list high grade copies of Charlton's Cheyenne Kids. I will soon reach 15 years in the CGC Forum () and never seen any listed yet.
  10. Captain Marvel #11 NM- : $55 Barry Smith/Herb Trimpe cover Death of Una
  11. Amazing Spider-Man #8 former CGC 8.0 old label: $2,000 NOW $1,900 It was graded in 2000 and looks better than its assigned grade, I would grade it as a VF+ and it could probably get higher if pressed. CGC was very strict on those early years (not the case anymore unfortunately...). I own this copy for over two decades and did crack it almost immediately after purchasing but kept the label. Among the defects in the notes, there is a name/store stamp on back cover and overlap of front cover which today are not considered as defects anymore. There is a crease on lower right corner and on bottom left side that do not break colors and would probably be easily pressed if you are into that. I did "upgrade" this copy by another CGC 8.0 that also looks under-graded but with better centering and full CCA stamp (which is very important for me) but my former copy has much better colors and gloss. GPA prices in 2023 for a 8.0 did vary from $1,226 to $2,400 with the better looking copies selling for the higher prices. I paid a high price for my new copy and it was not easy to decide which one to keep and which one to resell.
  12. Captain America #154 NM- : $75 NOW $65 1st full app. Jack Monroe (later Nomad)
  13. Captain America #152 VF/NM: $35 NOW $30 Probably pressable to 9.2/9.4
  14. Captain America #145 VF/NM: $40 Book would be NM-/NM but has light wear on bottom cover that does not break colors. Presser's would love that book...
