  1. Archie Comics #32 VG+: $150 NOW $125 Very attractive copy for its technical grade but upper staple has pulled through and both puzzle pages have been filled with pencils. Inside pages are off-white to white.
  2. Title says it all. Here are terms: People on the probation list, or that I may have on ignore, are not eligible to purchase. Raw books: All my raw books are unrestored and not pressed unless noted. All my raw books are accurately graded and your satisfaction is guaranteed or your money back (except shipping costs) as long as book is returned in same condition as sent within 7 days of receipt. The first in this thread or via PM wins the book based on time stamp. Time payments are possible but must be discussed before you make the purchase. Shipping cost depends of how many books you take, where you live and how you want this to be shipped: 1) 1-3 CGC books with $100 insurance and tracking number to the USA with strong packaging is estimated around $28.00. 2) 1-10 raw books (regular size) with $100 insurance and tracking number to the USA with strong packaging is estimated around $25.00 3) If you want cheaper shipping cost, I can ship 1-3 raw books to the USA in an envelop with Mylar and sandwiched between thick cardboards for $10.00 ($5.00 to Canada). However, there is no insurance nor tracking number and I cannot use a box with this option. If the package gets lost or damaged, there is nothing we can do and I do not recommend this option for more expensive books. 95% of the time there is no problem, but there is a 5% that sometimes get damaged because the postal man is too dumb or other reasons. This option is therefore at your own risk. I do accept PayPal or international money orders.
  3. My raw unpressed copy that I did purchase at 3x Guide 22 years ago
  4. What is now worrying me a LOT is that CGC missed that. How many other books like this one are in blue labels?
  5. Each of them are hiding a stress line that would show some white if the dots were not there.
  6. I wish you were right but unfortunately it is color touch although hard to see clearly in pictures above indeed; if you could see the book in hands with a magnifying loop, you would agree. I don't know how to get better pictures
  7. Here are scan of the book now raw and close-up pictures. The two dots are between the right wing and the chimney. I have hard time being able to take a good picture of them and these are the best I could get with my iphone. I realize when looking at the pictures that it is not obvious but they are more visible when looking at them in hands under light with a magnifying loop. One dot is near the chimney, the other one is near the three little green points. The 1st picture after the scan shows a little bit of reflection from the black pen ink though. Sorry I cannot get better pictures so don't jump at me because of pictures not clear enough. The dots are tiny but they are there.
  8. Some people do not like to own restored books. Some people do not like to get a restored book that was advertised as unrestored. Some people do not like to pay unrestored prices for restored books. I am all of the above.
  9. There is a BIG difference. Purple labels sell for MUCH LESS than blue labels. You should not pay blue label price for a book that should sit in a purple label. This is just an Atom #7, can you imagine if it was an Amazing Fantasy #15 instead?
  10. Do you mean that it is ok to have a blue label with only two dots of color touch-up?
  11. I will try to post a zoom picture of the raw book later tonight although it may be hard to see without a magnifying loop. The ink added is not visible from the inside front cover but with the loop you can see that there is some tiny dot of black pen added which has a different tone of black in that specific area from the rest of the spine black line.
  12. Hello all, I just received yesterday a book that I bought on eBay for my personal collection. It is an Atom #7 CGC 8.0 for which I paid $200. I thought it was a nice looking 8.0 that would be a great upgrade with better centering to my current copy and was very happy when I had it in hands. All my Atom books are raw and sitting in Mylars except for the Showcase issues and issues #1,2 so the #7 had to be raw too. However, after cracking it, the spine did look suspicious to me and I used a magnifying loop to inspect it further. I was rather shocked when I did discover two tiny dots of black color touch-up on spine. I just cannot believe that CGC missed that. Obviously I do not want to keep this book for my collection now. If it was a raw book, returning it for a refund would be simple. However, this was formerly a CGC unrestored blue label and no longer as is now that it is cracked. Obviously, I cannot hold responsible the seller for that restoration as it was not his fault (unless he was the original submitter) and that color touch-up would have been hard to detect with certainty through the plastic holder while there can be no doubt now when looking at it raw. So what can I do? Contact the seller and ask if I can return it? Contact CGC? Eat the loss? In either case I will be very anxious and nervous the next time I want to crack a CGC blue label.... Your comments and advices will be very welcome
  13. Two in three tonight, oouch my comic budget took a hit but at least I will have an under-copy for sale
