    the supe 4 looks like it has some work done to it..the cover looks cleaned,it looks like some tape removal from the lower spine and it has been pressed. the black line on the spine looks drawn. so i suspect the spine has had some work to it.

    your book isn't mis cut..it it the beginning of a spine roll.

    when it comes to stapling please remember that many times there are more than one stapler on the production line. and as they are adjustable. so you can expect many different locations. and the books themselves go through several stages, almost always handled by printers, so tears,wear etc can be common.

    just read your tag line....Jules Feiffers Book is a must! it was my first into to Spirit,Kirby Caps etc? what year did you find it? i opened up all this great gold to a teen aged kid. we didn't have comic book stores back then but book stores that sold some comics. everybody who loves comics should read that book!!!!!!!!!!!
