  1. I decided to say screw it and bought it lol. Hopefully I can get that signature series bump from Clairemont.
  2. Yup. The guy who's selling it says he sucks at grading raw but then puts the price at what a graded 8.0 is. LOL.
  3. No c&p. Annoyed about the tear.. otherwise was looking at being above 9.0. Don't know now.
  4. Eh I'm just going to send it in for the Layton signing and hope for the best then. I thought it looked better than a 9.2 but I guess we'll see.
  5. C&p done but I think a better job could be done. Also on left side of the cover there is that weird mark there. I have a few other copies that have the exact same mark but are from different collections. Is this a printing error or something? Also is there a hope of a 9.6+?
  6. No c&p yet. Thinking of waiting for a signing to get this graded. Also comic is quite flat just took a photo of it on a bag so looks uneven
  7. Would be nice if we weren't charged before the date is even set up. Don't get that really. And if it is going to be that way it should be made clear.
  8. Wondering too. Mine appears still as "recieved at ccs" this Is only my second ever SS submission
  9. Sent them in for the signing guess we'll see if it's a bust
  10. That's what I got last time except it looked better on the other. Gonna have to give the pressing + signature series combo to hopefully get higher grade lol.
  11. I'm getting the sense that this board is very conservative lol. Well I'll post it when it's back then
  12. The way my stuff has been graded lately has made no sense. I expect 9.6 on the other and this will be 9.0. Ticks don't matter anymore apparently either and I had a #266 X-men come in at a 9.6 despite looking worse than my X-men #133 Signed by claremont which was a 9.4. I'm going to add pressing to these comics by cgc just to see if they're genuinely that greedy and give a grade bump. Especially on the #133 X-men I had claremont signed.
  13. Not hating at all but how does a comic go from. 6.5 to 9.4? Guess the first grader was having a terrible day. Or new grader got a promotion.
  14. Something to realize which I wish people new to this hobby is that the majority of comic shops are predatory to those in need and or those who do not understand the pricing and worth of comics. For a dealer to insult someone by saying they'd only pay a few cents on each comic is really terrible. It is always worth it to sell things yourself. Even if you get someone to do a consignment for you it'll be better than selling to pretty much any shop. They'll make hundreds of percent in profit for each comic you give. Because this market is still looked at as niche you will always have people assuming the comics are worthless and give them away to these vultures for pennies.
  15. Brutal.. the gauntlet and spectacular Spider-Man #56 makes up for it but damn. Why am I given grader notes on everything except the X-men 135? That's actually very annoying as I felt that was the best looking comic I sent in. After I use up my credits I'm probably done with cgc for awhile. I have a bad feeling the comics were damaged while over there ngl. But that lack of grader note makes zero sense.
  16. Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging Is what it shows now, does that mean it's on imaging or encapsulating since it's graded? And thanks
  17. That is weird. Guess it's a waste of money to use fast track now.
