Pet peeve with eBay Sellers... As someone who has sold - and bought - on eBay for over 20 years, my biggest pet peeve are sellers that charge domestic shipping on a high priced item - e.g. a graded book over $600. It is an instant turnoff for me and I've decided not to buy from those sellers anymore. They also do themselves an injustice as you get a boost on search results for free shipping - although that might not be as big a deal in collectibles as a commodity category. Anyway, got that off my chest...

Known Rich for several years - used to set up across from him at Heroes-Con and now make it a point to check out what he has now that I am just buying at Heroes and not selling anymore. The guy is super knowledgeable, funny and makes solid deals. As far as conservation/restoration is concerned, I really appreciate the lengths Rich goes to so that you know out of the gate the status of a book. I know of one dealer that sold me about 10 silver age books some years ago at Heroes-Con and five of them turned up with color touches.If it had been just one out of 10 and super minor then I would think the dealer just missed it - when it was half the lot, then there are some ethics issues involved. Obviously I don't darken their door anymore. Bottom line is that Tomorrow's Treasures is top notch IMHO.

This person ordered off my discount site, received the package and initiated a chargeback through PayPal without once trying to contact me. PayPal found in favor of the jerk because the person's charge card company supported the chargeback. So not only did the funds reverse but got a nice $20.00 chargeback fee on top of it. Person's name is Sean Warwick and his current PayPal email address is cumisalesco@gmail.com - his email at the time of the transaction (7/7/2015) was snwseas@gmail.com

True - I don't live in the Northeast. Cons in the fall and winter - and even early spring - are just not on my radar unless it is a one day show. I realize it is getting more and more to a year round thing except for December and January.

If you click on that winning bidder - they have only bid on one specific seller in the past 30 days. Plus their feedback is private so you can't see what sellers are providing feedback. All the signs of a shill account. I'm sending in reports on these items.

Looks like their time between receipt and verification has been increasing while the time between verification and scheduled for grading has been decreasing. I was going to say that I hope CGC will improve some now that major con season is over - but then I looked at their calendar and they are at shows every week through the first week of December.

Didn't read the whole thread but the Hawk and Dove mini-series is the only thing I ever saw that looked like he spent more than 15 minutes on each page. Other than that, pure junk IMHO.

I wonder how much it helps CGC to go to cons. I do know that when they go, things grind to a snail's pace. And con season is about to crank up.
