    Leyendecker is one of my favourite illustrators. I saw his classic Arrow shirt ad original up close at a Sotheby's auction many years ago. Classic Art Deco.

    I remember first meeting him at a comic convention while I was in art school. He was encouraging, friendly and modest about his own talent. A generous person with his time, he made you feel special even as I was showing my samples. Saw him again years later at another con. Still the nicest man. We will miss his presence in this world terribly.

    I remember bidding on the Crippen copy knowing I didn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting it. I'm only looking at scans like the rest of you, but the colours on the Crippen are so intense and offset by the bone white of the logo so beautifully, if that's truly what it looks like, it is the most desirable in my eyes.

    Wartime Romances 6. Great Baker girl on cover. 3 stories by the Master. Looks terrific but there is a spine split at bottom that goes to staple. Both staples are attached. Centrefold attached. Vg, although looks better. SOLD!

    Cinderella Love 26 and More Up for sale, the classic and hard to find Cinderella Love 26, cover by Matt Baker. I am grading this a 4.5. Although it presents very nice it has a chip on the upper right and upper left corner. There is a 2 inch corner crease on the bottom right that barely breaks colour. There is a chip on the right edge of the cover. Some damage on the right side above corner. Staple tear on upper staple. It is all on staple with a tight centrefold. Pages are off-white. If there is any unhappiness with this, returns are accepted. You won't see a copy like this any time soon. SOLD!
