  1. Yes, and he has some of the other issues from that run in high grade as well.

I saw your copy in Toronto. It's nice. I picked this up from Ted instead.

Both are great covers with solid sci-fi stories inside! :applause:

The story about the scientist who builds the evil robot bulldozer has one of my favorite bits of dialogue. The girl looks to the hero after watching the scientist die at the hands of the bulldozer: "He loved the bulldozer more than life."

Something we can all learn from.

  2. As for Overstreet, when it comes to St. John's romance, and especially Cinderella Love, I don't even bother to open it up.

    That's for sure!

Yeah, there was quite a bidding war there. Is this a key in terms of its content, or just an especially rare / low-distribution issue?

Just a tuff book with a nice Baker cover. No Baker contents ( none of the CL's had any). CL's have been really hot for a while now, and if you only need one...

  3. So, who got into the bidding war on Cinderella Love #27? This is a $10-to-$20 book according to Overstreet. The auction ended March 30, 2010, and two bidders drove up the price from around $50 to a final bid of $275. And not even for that nice a copy! It HAD to be somebody here. LINK

OK, I was the 2nd underbidder. I was sitting pretty for a couple of days, then one of the other bidders came back to outbid me. Then I outbid him, and said to hell with it. The next morning another underbidder came back to outbid, then he was outbid by the guy I outbid.

Does that make sense? Glad I kept my money, I don't like popped staples especially on top (comic has more of a chance of sliding away from the cover in a mylar).
