  1. One would think. I might be recollecting incorrectly, but the one time I do think it's appropriate has been the way Mike/ Comicdonna has handled this when seeing a Probation List member selling in the marketplace. He'll post a template response notifying members that the seller has violated community rules about selling / buying in the marketplace, and that's about it.

Do you mean this? We have a standard template recommended by Arch when someone is violating any sales rules.

That's the template for rules violations that I was referring to, and it must have been Mike who posted it the last time or two that I saw it in use. (thumbs u

So, I'm suggesting we have a much more concise one for threads where a number of community members are concerned without dumping in someone's thread.

"no one is standing next to their booth yelling to everyone passing by about how crazy the prices are."

This is a fair point, and using a template takes this into account. We might not do this at the shows, but we can certainly take the discussions to places like Annie's List, Yelp, or these boards.

Should a sellers asking price and post count be added to the rules then? If I'm correct, the seller in question has violated no rules for the selling forum.

  2. Here's my perspective:

Everyone starts with a "reservoir of goodwill"... usually more positive than neutral. Hardly anyone starts with a negative. Your actions here either add to that reservoir, take away from it, or don't alter it.

Once it's depleted for some people, it's that much harder to get back as people tend to have long memories. (shrug)

All through elementary school, my daughter has been taught to be a "bucket filler". It's never to late to go back to the basics for such a basic concept as this.

  3. Just in, possible confirm on major character being killed off this season!

There is an almost confirmed certainty that one of the major characters will be killed this season!! There is no mention or hints of whom on when.

"It seems that the explosive exiting of former showrunner Frank Darabont from The Walking Dead has still left some ripples and the aftershock could be the killing off of a major character soon.

TV Line reports that a regular member of the cast wasn’t too happy with the way that Darabont was treated by AMC this summer and they asked for their release from their contract, which was eventually granted by the network. The cast member’s character was then written to be killed off but the actor/actress have now reportedly changed their mind believing they acted a little hastily and want to stick around. Problem is it may now be too late and AMC may very well kill them off anyway now that the idea is there."

  4. Where's the scan? (shrug)

Give him a little while. He got a virus from photobucket. He's going through his little black book in search of someone he can trust to post the picture.

    New Thread:

    Photobucket me.

Is it worth waiting TWO YEARS to see how it turns out? hm

  5. I'm sorry to read that this happened. Mike. I really do hope appropriate measures are taken to not only help to stop this sort of thing, but to see that those who commit these offenses are dealt with properly by all means available.

I'm sorry to here about your recent problems as well Not*Sure*. Here's a video that I hope makes you (and Mike) feel better. :foryou:

  6. I'm sure that will make the letter pages if anything gem :) Would make a nice adition to your collection if it did eh :D

If that one makes it to the letter page, guarantee you I'll get it slabbed and SS.

If I could play guitar worth a I'd make a youtube vid of it.

I've been thinking of writing in & doing that lol ... thinking of writing in for #100 see if my letter gets printed in it ... that would be kind of cool ...

I've got a SDCC #75 SS (with three sigs) and plan to have my signature added as I've got a letter published in that one. :-)

CGC SS will recognize the signature for people who have a letter published??? I had no idea.

Is it listed on the label then? In the registry?? How cool.

I was told that I could definitely have my signature added because of the published letter. Will it make it more valuable? lol yeah right! Will it be cooler for me? Of course!

Thanks so much for letting me know. I am listed in issue #9 of Angel: After the Fall for the cover suggestion of the TST variant. Having it signature series would be very cool.

Congrats. to you, btw and thanks again.
